I have been working at Ryerson University full-time

    Pros

Great Experience. You will develop your critical thinking, experience research, and tremendously improve your technical writing skills. Also, you will become slightly more specialized than an undergraduate.

    Cons

You will lose opportunity cost by not joining the industry directly after your undergrad degree.

You are at the mercy of your supervisor. He/She will decide when you can graduate.

I have been working at Ryerson University full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

University level pay, benefits, workshops are excellent.

    Cons

Depending on the Faculty/Department in which you work, leadership and meaningful investment in staff development is lacking. Toxicity rampant due to poor management. Culture and values figure more prominently in marketing than in day to day actions.

    Advice to Management

    Walk the talk.
