I worked at Rosewood Hotel Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

It was cheap to stay at other Rosewood properties.

    Cons

Communication was awful. Staff went on strike a month after I started. No one in management even told me there was the possibility of that happening. I found out I would have to clean hotel rooms one day before the strike started. I ended up working 12+ hour days and having no days off for nearly 2.5 weeks, then only receiving one day off.

I have been working at Rosewood Hotel Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Hotel stay benefits, Outlet discounts, Tourism passport, Union Jobs

    Cons

Bad management, not at all stable. New MD Safwan wants to do thing his own way, he literally fired people based on his personal choice. Very racist and discriminatory workplace, they fire people based on personal preference. Lowest pay in every position in Vancouver expect Union job. They instruct us to hire based on looks and their liking, it doesn't really matter what your resume is. Also as it is owned by a private owner, Rosewood does not care at all what happens to the employee at the hotel. Owner treats the place as picking up girls.

I have been working at Rosewood Hotel Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good pay, good benefits, good hours and amazing people to work with!

    Cons

No employee parking, need to make requests to enjoy the outlets with employee discount way in advance and can’t spend the night in the hotel with employee discount, but other Rosewood Hotels throughout the globe is OK, so long as the dates requested are available...
