      Excellent place to work

      Pros

Excellent place to work- flexible hours, mentoring culture, plenty of volunteer opportunities, and a multitude of career opportunities. Encourages team environment, and has incentives such as cruises for high achieving employees.

      Cons

Recruiting for higher job opportunities requires "time spent" in the lower jobs for most opportunities. This can be frustrating if you are qualified, however haven't "done your time" in the lower jobs. There are exceptions to this, but staff can get frustrated.

Very professional organization with qualified management and a great reputation in the marketplace.

      Pros

Great resources and opportunities to develop your skill set in the current role. The managers have high expectations but you will have resources available to be successful in your role.

      Cons

There is a ceiling in terms of career potential. The organization has limited career opportunities at the next level and in order to get to that level, you may need to spend time in an area of the bank that doesn't interest you. Work/life balance wasn't optimal and long hours will be required of you to succeed.

      Pros

RBC is an awesome place to work, they're really good for their employees, good benefits and lots of opportunities for advancement in your career.

      Cons

I really dont have anything bad the say about working for RBC...although if you are working in the contact centers you might have to work late hours depending on your schedule, its open 24/7 but they do pay you more to work later so it's really not that bad

      Laid back, boring work

      Pros

People are fun to work with. No micro management from management. As long as you get your work done, you are free to take breaks whenever you want. Management recognizes good work.

      Cons

Some staff resistant to technological change. Job is very repetitive and not very rewarding.

      Pros

Challenging work, free reign on multiple projects, exposure to senior management, ability to move laterally easily, work from home options.

      Cons

Long hours, managers are sometimes too busy to coach and talk about growth opportunities. Capacity is not always evaluated well

      Pros

A great job if you have good communication skills and are willing to push yourself for the bonus by hitting targets. Great way to start your career.

      Cons

Sales quotas are tough sometimes. Not much freedom to do what you want; strict sales routines are enforced, some leeway if you're good at making sales though.
