    Negative Outlook

I worked at Robertson & Company full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Weekly pay - Location - close to union station, lots of food places, close the path for the winter, and right in front of streetcar - No micro-management and a lot of flexibility

    Cons

    - The company has unbelievably frequent payroll problems. Their contractors, and some times internal employees, are frequently affected by missing their payroll. This could be due to the fact that their finance team consists of 3 part-time employees who are never available, or due to the fact that they simply are not profitable, or due to mismanagement of funds. - The management is never present, and make fake promises.. there is no training for new hires etc. - The commission structure is difficult (i think deliberately) and i am not sure if anyone actually makes commission - The systems, technologies, and equipment is very outdated and make it hard to compete with other companies - Toxic work culture

Thank you for your review. We are extremely proud of the reputation we have and the trust we%E2%80%99ve built with our clients and candidates over the 25+ years Robertson has been in business. During that time, we have grown to an organization with multiple business lines and locations across Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. We are not perfect, but we strive to create a positive, dynamic working environment. Our average employee tenure is 6.35 years. We have many employees with more than 10 years tenure and multiple employees who have left for other opportunities and returned. Our Accounting team diligently works to process over 25 thousand-time sheets annually. Our commission and bonus plan are extremely competitive and based on industry standards (individual and team performance). It is fully transparent and available for explanation at any time. We are extremely proud of our learning platforms. Our training program for New Hires (New to the Industry) is comprehensive, extremely well facilitated by management and team leaders, and contains world class content. Experienced hires are encouraged to spend at least one hour each week in continuing education and have access to over 10,000 hours of content. This year again we are enhancing our training programs with an aim to ensure we are effectively and efficiently delivering the most impactful learning to our teams with the best user experience. We are a robust organization with teams that are driven. Robertson's success in the industry can be attributed to solid relationships built on trust and performance...with our clients, candidates and with our employees. I worked at Robertson & Company for less than a year

    Pros

    - They find work for you based on your skills and availability and what you're looking for - they guide you through the setup process so it's quite easy to get everything setup to go to work and get paid - they provide you the materials and some training so you'd be prepared on the first day of work - Great communication. The employees at this company are patient and are always available and open for help

    Cons

    - not really a con but the setup process can take a bit of time on your own to do it but that's a given since I'm getting contracted out

I worked at Robertson & Company

    Pros

I find it hard to think of any as I color the Robertson in villainy. But I really respected the actual people I was paired with and felt there was much I could learn from them.

    Cons

I first saw their ad on Kijiji to do some clerical work. I then found out it was for a big bank and I was sold dreams about how my part-time one month opportunity could lead to more stable opportunities. Boy was this a farce. The next thing I knew I was being made to sign a bunch of contracts with manipulative clauses. I was asked to submit a copy of my original degree which no one in all this time had ever asked for let alone for this stupid menial job they were giving me. My references were harangued to death for something that was a job for under 20 hours. They asked me to provide so much paper work and made me study what I was about to do for 2 weeks and then when I joined, I was unceremoniously laid off within one week with all kinds of penalizing letters so that I didn't try to contact the actual people I was working with. Their explanation was that the bank decided to move my position out of my district. And my feeling is that these guys knew exactly what was going to happen and that's partly why they weren't able to get a candidate to fill my position so they sold me lots of dreams. But I think the larger issue is that the government has to become tight on not just recruiters but banks themselves for doing this.

    Pros

Robertson/Primehire has been my recruitment agency since 2015 and I have gained excellent opportunities since past 2 years. My recruiter especially has always responded and guided me whenever I needed help and assistance in a timely manner. Thank you

    Cons

The contracts offered usually do not extend over a year although it depends on the client company, I understand
