    Ricoh Canada Response

    April 21, 2019Internal Communications Manager

Thanks for providing us with feedback about your experience at Ricoh. It is great to hear that you enjoyed the dynamic team environment, as well as feel that our benefits are competitive. In respect to turnover, we have created and maintained many initiatives focused on helping us retain our talent. Unfortunately, we do at times lose good employees to other opportunities outside of the organization and we wish them all the best in their endeavors. We value our employees' feedback and aim to incorporate it into continuous improvement efforts. We are interested in hearing more about your personal experience with Ricoh since the comments are not consistent with how we view our culture. We invite you to contact us at hr@ricoh.ca to share any specific suggestions for improvement that you may have.

    Ricoh Canada Response

    May 17, 2017HR Coordinator

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed a dynamic team environment while at Ricoh. We actively promote a team environment and open communication at all levels. Regarding changes at Ricoh, we are very proud of having more than 70 year’s history globally and 24 years in Canada. We work very hard to have a strategic plan that guides all our key decisions. We regret to hear that you felt disconnected with upper management and that commission’s may not have been correct. We invite you to contact us at hr@ricoh.ca so we can discuss those concerns in more detail.

"The most unusual company I've ever worked for"

I have been working at Ricoh Canada full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Lots of freedom and days off, immediate manager doesn't meddle in my business and there is virtually no accountability to senior management.

    Cons

Promises made at hiring were not kept, Ricoh consistently hires from outside instead of within. There is no motivation to be better at your job. Pay is embarrassingly low, bosses are inattentive to issues and there is no room to grow within this company. They are not interested in ever hearing new ideas or suggestions to make it better. There is a MAJOR employee morale issue, bigger than upper management realizes, and it will be the downfall to this company. Equipment and tools (basically everything but your copiers) are so old you can't service them anymore. I have a piece of office equipment that is stamped 1985. You know a company is in trouble when they ask you to stop taking vacations before April because paying out vacation pay negatively affects their 4th quarter.

I have been working at Ricoh Canada full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I work with some very energetic and kind people who will help each other, quietly. We have a HR lady who just started with us and wow she is making progress. She is being proactive, she listens well and cares about our issues. She is a breath of fresh air. She is there for everyone.

    Cons

Upper management is too old fashion and old school. They care only of their money and hiding their heads in the sand. They are willing to scare people into their methods if we do not agree. This company clearly has no clue what is really happening. They are afraid to make a sacrifice, yet they could be making more if some people left the company.
