      Pros

Good start up pay, provided equipment.

      Cons

There was only one person training that was professional. All the other trainers were a mess of what not to do working from home. My supervisor did not seem to care about his job, as though he was only there for a paycheck. Upper management has no idea the curse words used in the training and how little the company was for their customers. It seemed to be all about getting as much money from the customers as possible.

        Pros

Good people at the Business Unit with fast pace of growth. Some opportunity to advance but limited depending if willing to relocate. Improving processes and key performance metrics to strive for continuous improvement.

        Cons

Lots of bureaucratic hurdles and politics. Don't seek with in for grooming talent for higher level positions. Volume of change can be overwhelming and lack of understanding by upper management what the challenges are in the field.

          Pros

You have a cell phone that you luckily get to receive emails that add more work to your already stretched day. The five personal days, and two to three weeks vacation you receive that prevents you from totally going over the edge.

          Cons

The extremely long hours and Saturdays you work. It is such a joke to look at your pay stub and see you are only getting paid for the first 40 hours you work which you usually reached on Wednesday. All upper management talk about what they used to do when in their own minds they were successful. They don't have an answer when you ask them 'Why are you here instead of your former job'?

            Pros

The lower level office workers and upper management are approachable and cooperative. There is a camaraderie among the office workers which is nice, but unfortunately is caused by contention between workers and mid-level managers.

            Cons

Oppressive and rigidly corporate company culture. The average employee is severely overworked and under appreciated. There are more managers assigning tasks then there are workers to complete them. Some contention between union and non-union employees.

Upper management seemed to care but the employees that will train you make you feel like you are making a mistake working there.

              Cons

I worked 1 week the employee that was training me scared me into quiting. I did like the job though

                  Pros

Paid weekly and benefits are median

                  Cons

Very unorganized from top to bottom. Everyone works such long hours it creates a very cut-throat environment. Supervisor skill sets are very subpar and they are over worked, rarely completing any issues brought to them by drivers or other employees. Driver pay checks are almost always incorrect, with hours and tonnage left off checks. Upper management seems to vanish when there is turmoil due to relentless broke down trucks and discouraged drivers.

                      Development Engineer

Had a peculiar 3-month interview with a scientific organization. Initial online presentation, followed by an unexpected in-person interview, still evaluated by the committee. Salary undisclosed; only relocation package mentioned. The team was satisfied, awaiting HR director approval, requesting references. 2-3 days later, before sending references, informed they chose another candidate. No response to emails; HR silent. Was I backdoor checked?

                      RFP Coordinator

I have a 5 year gap in my work history due to an illness. How do I explain this? I can't lie, SSD is on my background check as a previous employer. I am on it and looking to re-enter the job market and get off of it, but I understand it is a reason for employers to pause in hiring me.

                      Senior Associate

How do you interview for a position when you are under-qualified based on seniority but not based on skills? I currently serve as a senior associate for a reputable consulting firm, and I have an interview for an associate director position. However, I am just shy of the minimum YOE requirement included on the job application and relatively young (though I meet all of the other requirements). Any advice on convincing the hiring manager I am ready for a mid-level role?
