I worked at RPI full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

working with people who have been in the industry and have a lot of knowledge

    Cons

Training for machine operators. Peak season preparation.

    Advice to Management

Train your machine operators, you cant bring 50 temp. employees in 1 week before peak season and expect them to be a proficient machine operator and expect them produce 1200 books a shift with no errors. Not going to happen!
    Better preparation for peak seasons.

    Pros

    Cons

The hours are awful, the salary was laughable, and the management aren’t interested in you- they just want you to line their pockets.

    Advice to Management

I worked at RPI full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people at RPI are simply the best. It's a fun environment.

    Cons

Demand for the products is like an avalanche at certain times of the year -- it can get very stressful and people work a lot of hours.

    Advice to Management

Continue to cultivate and develop your employees at all levels. Provide more opportunities for advancement to upper management for employees of color and females - highest level management team is not diverse at all.

I have been working at RPI full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Good health insurance
    - Matching 401K
    - Supportive management

    Cons

    - No processes in place for any part of your job
    - Necessary changes are constantly identified but never implemented
    - No growth opportunities
    - Unprofessional work environment (lots of things that would be harassment claims elsewhere)
    - Long-time employees get away with Everything

    Advice to Management

If you want to enact actual, lasting change, you need to identify the people who consistently block those changes and either retrain them (and back it up with a PIP if they refuse to comply) or remove them from the company.
