I worked at Quicken Loans for less than a year

    Pros

The team members are helpful and motivating in terms of work-related issues

    Cons

Personal experience - Some team members were not very engaging unlike the company's tradition of being one big family.

I worked at Quicken Loans full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Money, but you work hard for it. Other banks/lenders you dont work as hard and less loans to make the same.

    Cons

Leadership with no leadership skills think they can boss you around just because they did a good job at banking in the past. A lot of hitting on girls, I was one of those. It was never comfortable working there. Long hours are fine, but being yelled at for 12+ everyday is not a okay. No human can work straight for 12 without slowing down here and there a bit and taking a break. There’s absolutely no understanding for normal human things. Going to restroom was an issue with my leader. If I was gone for 3 mins he would ask me in front of everyone where I went. Talk about micromanage. It’s actually quiet sad how poorly they treat their team members.

  5. "Great company to work for!"

    5.0
Current Employee - Director in Detroit, MI

I have been working at Quicken Loans full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Quicken Loans fosters a team atmosphere. Team Members are encouraged to bring new ideas to the table, and be collaborative. Additionally, great emphasis is put on growth and development.

    Cons

Hours can be long but as a team member it is easy to get so invested in the work that the hours don't matter. Most leaders are really great and work with Team Members to ensure their personal time is protected, and also recognize the efforts the Team Members are putting forth.

I have been working at Quicken Loans full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The company truly cares about its team members from providing resource networks, diversity and inclusion appreciation, and ongoing training to an onsite healthcare center and leadership development.

    Cons

It's easy to devote a lot of time to what you're working on and forget to enjoy other parts of your life, so you have to make a conscious decision to have more balance, but the fact that you like your work so much that you have to tell yourself to stop, is probably a problem many people wish they had.

    Pros

Great people, fun environment, great career growth opportunities, and the company actually cares about the team members and clients.

    Cons

Depending on where your parking is, you may have to wait for a shuttle to get to the office.

I have been working at Quicken Loans full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Endless outings, perks, and opportunities for growth - Collaboration is encouraged and valued - Team member feedback is heard and acted upon

    Cons

    - Great location in downtown Detroit but taking a shuttle to and from a parking lot adds commute time - Hot projects can lead to some long days - Workflow can get a little choppy when trying to coordinate so many people and moving parts

I have been working at Quicken Loans full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Culture - QL really works at having a great culture for team members. I love the people I work with. We also do a lot within the city of Detroit - giving back, events, etc. Opportunities for Advancement - I have had the opportunity to grow from an intern to a team leader here. There are many ways to grow in your current role and leadership cares about helping you advance in your career as well.

    Cons

Not a con for me, but we are a fast-paced company - you need to be someone that likes to stay busy and be open to change.
