Professional and experienced long-term employees are very courteous to customers, and willing to offer assistance to new employees. Facilities are clean and safe.
Cons
No training offered to new employees, benefits are not competitive with other car dealerships in Lexington, and interviewees are given incorrect information. They are told there is a 3-month wait for health benefits, in actuality, it is a 4-month wait. They are also told they will receive 5 paid holidays during the year. The truth is: employees are not paid for holidays. When the dealership is closed for a holiday, that becomes your day off for the week, and you work on your otherwise scheduled day off. Since employees are paid commission, there is no holiday pay. A new employee accumulates only one week of vacation for the first year employed - other dealerships in Lexington offer one week after 6 months, or 2 weeks during the first year. I don't think management is necessarily being deceptive, I think it comes from the old school thinking (this was typical for employer behavior in the 80's). If you are looking for employment at a car dealership, look elsewhere. There are some reputable dealerships that offer much better benefits and a real training program.
