    I worked at QuadraMed

    Pros

Compensation was good. Employees were able to work remote and be reimbursed for travel expenses quickly. Managers were accessible and allowed time for completion of work. Many long term employees. A diverse population (minorities), more than most companies.

    Cons

Lack of product direction. Constant selling off of company divisions. No new sales of software. Software needs to move toward a Windows based platform for build and configuration. Refined spending and retain employees. Employees were so busy seasoned people never had time to mentor new employees.

I have been working at QuadraMed full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Employees were able to work remote. Excellent products.

    Cons

General consensus within the company and by customers is that Harris is closing the doors. If this is not true, do something to change the perceptions. Loss of too many customers. Sales is limited to Quebec Canada and add-on implementation services. Outside of this growth, there is nothing on the horizon. Lack of product direction. Acquired a new company, but there are no plans to integrate or leverage products - just another silo. Harris does not get involved in any customer or day-to-day operational discussions. Harris does not understand the US healthcare market, so the QuadraMed senior management can pull the wool over their eyes. The current leaders of the company do not know enough to ensure the integrity of a system like QCPR. Customers feel isolated and unsupported and the few that are left in the US are looking for a new system. Morale is very low, most individuals staying until they are let go and provided their compensation package. Losing to many people both through attrition and lay-offs leaving the intellectual property at a minimum. A handful of key employees understand the system and can support the customers, but their hands are tied leaving the Middle managers use fear to motivate employees even adding comments to their reviews. They would rather continue to downplay the skill, industry knowledge and clinical experience of their employees. There are no open channels of communication and employees are fearful of retribution or dismissal if they say anything. Compensation – not worth the time for comments. Home office expenses – none. Benefits – healthcare okay – not great. Bonuses - Director and above

I worked at QuadraMed full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Compensation and benefits were good Allowed employees to work remote. Managers do not micro-manage. Many long-term employees that really know the product and application.

    Cons

Lack of product direction and vision. When there is vision, there is not enough money to implement it. Product is way too much me-too and not innovative. Not enough new blood and employee work force is definitely aging with no plans to replace key people as they leave and/or retire.
