    Managements life balance and flexible attitude towards employees life goals. Willingness to try new methods and new ideas as it pertains to software and computer systems

    Company is far too connected to its suppliers. The decisions that are beyond managements control have far too much influence on the company's future

    I worked at Progress full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    Excellent benefits, great flexibility, very good salary. I went to Progress when my company was purchased by them and was very satisfied with the way the company treats its employees.

    Cons

    Unfortunately they changed focus away from web services management and our company was sold to another corporation. They do seem to have a way of purchasing companies and then selling them off a few years later.

    CEO staff is very approachable and grounded with respect to the world around us High transparency Great people

    We run "lean"...I've learned to generally see this as a "pro" as it avoids layoffs in times of economic uncertainty and ensures there's plenty of work to go around.

    Pros

    Flexible work schedule, leadership really cares about feedback and acts on it, the company is moving in the right direction and I am here to stay. No layoffs in Covid days due to the company running lean.

    I have been working at Progress full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Management / Corporate engagement with the employee's success. Great core social values (CSR, Diversity and Inclusion); many women in leadership and executive roles. Investment in employee development (training and education). AMAZING Covid-response to unexpected challenges. Every venue to assist employees in this trying time was inspected and I've felt so supported by my company during this difficult time (especially with a young child and needing the ability to flex-schedule).

    Growing pains as we work to streamline processes cross-organizationally. Will get there. WIP.

    I worked at Progress full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Interdepartment transfers are easy. Technology is pretty good.

    Cons

    Primary product (90% of company income) is relegated to the back of the shelf by current management, and it shows. Used to be a great place to work, but they lost their way over the last 10-15 years and now it's just a job. Current CEO thinks in buzzwords and flash and is out of step with both the company's history and legacy and the industry's real direction.
