Great place to work, I love it here
Jun. 28, 2021 - Agile Coach in Toronto, ONRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Strong culture where people care about and look out for each other. There's plenty of psychological safety and it's the best learning environment I've been part of as far as companies go. I can't recommend working here highly enough.
Cons
We've grown quickly, so we have our share of growing pains. Company growth plans are also aggressive, which puts some pressure on the teams, but work-life balance is still very much valued.

Great place to learn, expect some growing pains
Jan. 18, 2021 - Product ManagerRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Growth focused, with a strong investment in the product. The flatness of the company makes it simple to transition into a different role (function, department, etc.) if you are looking to learn something new. Employee satisfaction has become a main focus. The People Ops team is very attentive and maintain a "small company" feel, nearing 400 people. The product makes learning math enjoyable for kids and does it for free, so that makes your work more meaningful and interesting. They are entering into a new growth stage as a company, which should be exciting to be a part of. Many new opportunities will come up for leading and pathfinding. Change in leadership will bring expertise.
Cons
Growth will come with growing pains which may be uncomfortable for a while. They're "building the ship while sailing it", which means not every system, process, or mindset is going to be 'perfect' for the size of the company. Organizational structure is growing and changing too, so some roles may not be as advertised (this doesn't have to mean worse).

Prodigy is a company that cares about its employees
Apr. 9, 2021 - Senior Paid Media Manager in Toronto, ONRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Normally when you have a company that claims to be focused on their employees, it's hollow and very begrudging. Prodigy flips that on its head by being exceptionally focused on making their employees not just happy, but fulfilled in their jobs as well. It's a place where you can feel good about working not just for the work you're doing, but the overall goals of the company, and the atmosphere of the company.
Cons
There are no cons that I can think of that are specific to Prodigy aside from growing pains. We're currently growing aggressively as a company which means there's not enough people on each team and we don't necessarily have all the processes in place that we need to. On the flip side, that means there's a lot of room to grow as an individual.

Cons
like any rapidly growing company that's constantly getting new employees there can be growing pains, nothing too major though.

-very creative environment -surrounded by fun, intelligent and effective people -games, ping pong, snacks, giant video game screen to play on -great perks, company events, gym and learning fund -excellent transparency and professionalism
Cons
Not really a con but expected, the company is still taking shape so naturally there are growing pains, nothing that isn't being solved on a running basis
