I have been working at Procom full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Procom has a fast paced work environment and there is always lots to do! The coworkers I've dealt with have been very friendly and there are a lot of team building events to encourage a familial relationship. It truly feels like a small office setting even though it is large and corporate.

    Cons

There is often mild office drama, but it rarely gets in the way of work and seriously affects the quality of life.

Friendly and warm environment A lot of training provided Efficient systems and documented processes Cares about the employers and has genuine interest in providing our consultants with a great experience Flexible work style

    Cons

Many levels of approvals needed to get some things done. Rules not always consistent throughout the different departments.

    Advice to Management

Involve the individuals doing the front line work when making decisions on changes to processes.

I worked at Procom for more than a year

    Pros

One of the biggest staffing agency in the industry. They are known for IT Jobs with well known clients in major sectors - financials, government, retail, etc.

    Cons

    - Poor wage bracket - they start you off with little bit above Minimum and attract you with their Benefit. You don't even get basic benefit, its just very minimal. - Account Support role is more of a Customer Service role - it has no connection to HR/Payroll what so ever. You are constantly on the phone with either clients or employees. If you have a background in HR, this role is definitely not something that you should take on. - They don't value their employees - hence they have high turnover. I've been there for only one year and i noticed around 5-10 new hires every month. - The HR group does not back up the Employees, they just go with what the managers have to say. - You're on your own to figure things out - even though there are different levels of authority, they would all point fingers at different directions. - Very bad Leaders/Managers in the company - i can only recall handful of managers/leaders that are good. - Expect more from you than what you are capable of and even if you go above and beyond in return you don't get the simplest recognition (not even from the account manager/TLs) - Overall, this is by far the worst company i had worked with in my experience. They might have a big name and reputation but when you go to the employee level only then would you know the real deal.

    Advice to Management

Employees make up the company. Please value each and every individual as they come in with different/unique experience that might help you with achieving your vision/goal. You have some account managers that are bullies, and some employees wont speak up because of job security. When i spoke up to my manager, i was shown the exit doors. If HR is not going to support the employees, then where and who would the employees go to. Management should definitely invest in getting better HR Team, and do reviews on the account Managers on an employee level - ensure that it is strictly kept Anonymous for the employees sake. The VP should take these feedback seriously and action it accordingly. The Management needs to see why they are having high turnover, especially in the Account Support Level.
