I have been working at Pratt & Whitney Canada full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Everyone is helpful and nice, many are willing to help you and answer questions Good system of worker reviewing managers and a culture of being more open and reducing siloing Flextime system is a nice touch Covid crisis is being handled well and PWC is doing it's best not to layoff permanent hires Moving around internally does not have many barrier

    Cons

No mentorship structure. People are helpful but the motto is centered around learn as you go instead of teaching someone. Resulting in frustration. Pay is low. People here for years do not even make 85k, add on quebec taxes and you do not make much more than many other less stressful jobs in montreal. Buildings are old and there is no desire to invest and innovate in better facilities and programs

I worked at Pratt & Whitney Canada full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Salary is not too bad. Benefits are good. Work from home allowed, flexible time possible too. Having interns helps in rush times. Generally speaking, when there is turnover, people get replaced (in my experience).

    Cons

Very hierarchial! Very bureaucratic. Too much work. Usually can't achieve/improve anything because of that. People collaborate less because they have too much work. Global workshare makes it impossible to achieve goals. Very difficult to find a person you need to speak with. Some people are swamped in work just to satisfy upper management curiosity.
