    Culture is not impressive

    Jun 27, 2022 - Refinery Engineer

    Pros

Pay (if you don’t live in a high cost area because there is no cost of living adjustment for areas)

    Cons

Culture. The refinery seemed to be stuck 5 decades ago. When I first started working there in 2014, men got only the day of their child’s birth off of work (for example). They ended up changing it to 2 weeks which is hardly a progressive policy. It was definitely a good old boys club.
