      Cons

      - Frequent internal, re-orgs - Typical features for big companies - slow decision-making, large teams with some deadwood

Fantastic company to work for as a software engineer

      Pros

They invest in employee learning and growth and you are allowed to use the latest open source technologies in product development. Great health & other family-friendly benefits, decent compensation, high growth stock and good work life balance. Free snacks, fruit & soda daily, discounted cafeteria food and a nice campus equipped with a gym, tennis and volleyball court. Great colleagues and easy going team culture with flexible work from home option.

      Cons

Depending on the BU there might be frequent re-orgs and you'll have to deal with lots of legacy software tech debt inherited from eBay days. The open office layout can be annoying if you want to concentrate on software development without being disturbed. Compensation very good but well below FAANG levels.

      Stingy and Corrupt

      Business Outlook

      Pros

A good place for beginners whether in engineering or data science where you will learn a lot. Brand name. Some colleagues are good. Paypal is ideal for those who are in management or want to move to management.

      Cons

Managers are the worst. Stingy as hell, won't give a yearly raise. Gives promotion with a bare minimum of 6% raise. Managers tend to favor women over men at promotion (this is the current norm at PayPal as a whole). Depending on the ethnicity of the boss, he/she will favor those who belong to the same ethnicity. Diversity is a joke. Risk teams are fully either Chinese or Israeli. Few people from other nations who were part of these teams were made (or forced) to leave the company. Too many re-orgs and jobs getting outsourced. High attrition. Paypal Risk has 1 manager for every 3-4 people, which translates to too much politics.
