It would be best if you were patient. The salary is good, and you get a raise every year. The managers are friendly and supportive.

      Cons

It isn't easy to get a job in the early learning center of the head office, especially if you live in the Toronto area.

      Pros

I highly recommend PLASP for both children and for those who consider working in the company. As for Children, I can say that they don't wanna go home! You will feel that your children are safe, and don't think twice when dropping them off. The staff are well trained and super supportive and are always engaged with the children doing all kinds of activities from STEM to Science, and art. When it comes to snacks, PLASP follows Canada's Food Guide and serves meals and snacks developed by a nutritionist. Children receive a nutritious breakfast and an afternoon snack. Weekly menus are posted on the parent bulletin board in each program. If you are a parent and did not see any of these mentioned above in your child’s program, then you need to take a look at the parent board, see the menus and daily planning, address that to the program’s Director, and get in touch with the manager to address the matter ASAP because it is an expectation to provide a safe happy learning environment that fosters curiosity and allows children to explore and grow and develop to their maximum potential. PLASP staff assigned to childcare centres and Kindergarten before and after school programs are RECEs and participate in additional training courses through the company. They provide positive caregiving and stimulating activities in programs that inspire early learning and are built upon the understanding that every child is competent, capable, curious, and rich in potential. If you are a person considering working in the company, PLASP Child Care Services is an award-winning charitable organization and gives their employees a place to grow in their career. There are many options from childcare centers to EarlyOn, Before and After school programs, Part time, full time, relief staff, support staff… so many options to chose from that suit you, your life style and your time. There is a place to grow within the company… from a supervisor to assistant director, director, to a manager. But most of all… the benefits. They have benefits that I think no other place can beat • Competitive compensation package • Benefits (including Health and Dental) • RRSP program • Discounted Home/Auto Insurance/Gym Membership • Employee and Family Assistance Program • A generous vacation package • Life insurance and short and long-term disability coverage • Workplace Safety Insurance coverage • Professional Development • A positive work environment • Staff Years of Service Recognition Program • A free membership to the Child Development Resource Connection Peel (CDRCP) Lending Library • An opportunity for meaningful work • Exciting annual staff events Whether you’re a parent looking for childcare or a person looking for employment, I would highly recommend PLASP

      Cons

You might find issues if you end up with non supportive manager but that can be solved if you know who to reach out to.
