I have been working at PATH full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Track record of developing innovative products for health. Great work environment, benefits, 9-5 culture.

    Cons

Many people here are on cruise control, doing minimal work with no ability or incentive to progress in the organization and produce better work. Management if often unskilled and from unscientific backgrounds and unable to acquire, develop, or keep highly talented folks with cutting edge skills. Relatively anti-social work place, few opportunities to meet people within the organization.

I have been working at PATH full-time

    Pros

Compelling mission led by some of the best leaders in global health from multiple sectors. Flexible work environment. Fast-paced for a nonprofit. Good partner.

    Cons

Complex matrix structure makes priority/goal setting at an institutional level (vs. project-based) very difficult. External funding environment can make launching or sustaining innovative projects very difficult.
