    Pros

Gives you a lot of opportunities to grow and try things. Freedom basically. If you up to it, you can advance rapidly.

    Cons

Not that much support and sometimes the company lacks a good vision and understanding of who it is

    Advice to Management

Focus more on treating your employees better. Improve the offices.

    Pros

The people are superb. I learn a lot just by interacting with some of the truly inspirational, hard working and dedicated people at PA

    Cons

The ingenuity brand is a facade. Nothing says ingenuity less than the infrastructure, systems and processes at PA. IT, systems, mobile phones - all terrible and make it so difficult to get work done. The IT teams are so hierarchical and risk-averse that it’s a barrier to progress. We can’t even do the basics on mobile devices - access the intranet, book training courses etc. Technology should make things simple - not more complicated!

    Advice to Management

    Sort out the infrastructure!

I have been working at PA Consulting Group full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

As a smaller consultancy, offers a wider variety of work across sectors, as a Consultant, you are more exposed to a higher level of client and get some great experience.
    New offices are great.
Bonuses and salary are good, providing you perform but that is the model and it works providing you follow it.
Good work life balance, you work hard but you are not expected to put in 70 hour weeks.

    Cons

Training! Completely non existent. An online system called 'the academy' was introduced a few years ago, clearly by someone who doesn't understand the business at all. No organised training, you are expected to sit at your desk and watch videos, it seems like someone likes to spend lots of money of pretty pictures. No one seems to understand what the point of it is or how it can actually convert to knowledge and development. Very strange.

    Advice to Management

Stop the weird videos and bring back proper learning.
