I worked at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
Was a Great company to work for until Ron Mock (CEO) retired. Salary is higher compared to other competitor pension companies. Work life balance is very important for them. Benefits are amazing. Company organizes various events and networking events.
Cons
After Ron Mock retired it went downhill. New CEO is the selfish money only matters minded person. A lot of layoffs happened due to him and therefore now a lot of their roles are only contracts so they can use you and then drop you whenever they want.Typical corporate cultural, a lot of nepotism in this company. No room for growth, they say themselves their organization is very flat. Also the location of office is terrible and far from downtown core.
