I worked at Oldcastle full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - Good health/benefits package - Most of the co-workers are fun, business oriented and share great ideas. They are key to the success of this company (if only upper management understood that). - Great products line

    Cons

    - Very little space for growth unless you move down to Atlanta, GA. - Very poor communication between management and its employees - IT team seem completely disorganized & give very poor user support. - Work till you get sick. Depending on your manager, there are very few time compensations. - Company mainly focused on RONA rather than its employees & personal objectives. - Far too many organisational changes. Presidents & VPs are frequently moved from one division to another causing confusion and sudden change of culture.

I have been working at Oldcastle

    Pros

Some of the best reason why work with them are world wide locations, adancement by means of seminars and schooling if necessary, benefits and company stability.

    Cons

I cannot think of any down sides other than too much work and pressure but in a positive way. Nothing more.

I worked at Oldcastle full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Loved company and the many events held where we sponsored.

    Cons

When you feel as though the director does not have your back. Management acting a fool, talk to employees any kind of way, belittle you yet they say they are trying to help you. When you go to the director he listens, looks at you but does nothing. No wonder why the turnover was high in 1.5 years time.

I worked at Oldcastle full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I can't think of one pro.

    Cons

Unless you're desperate, don't waste your time. There is no follow-through and nobody knows what is going on. Upper management is it's worst enemy. As the saying goes - employees don't leave good companies, they leave poor management.

I have been working at Oldcastle full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Decent benefits great people to work with. My supervisor is one of the best people IV ever worked for, he will always have your back as will as teach you and help you grow with in the company as far as he can.

    Cons

Very poor upper management. They don't communicate. They don't look for solutions to problems, only some one to blame for the problem. they don't care about or even interact with the working employees. I went to work for CRH under the impression that they were a family oriented company that believes in promoting and raising their own but in reality they don't promote from with in.
