    No system at all Attrition percentage is very high due to undue pressure Long working hours (12 to 16 hours also) Huge internal politics

    Standard Global Process. Multiple controls coerce employees in decision making and work. Nothing new for learners. No iteration at middle level. Old style of working.

    good compensation and benefits; mostly good people (although many are fleeing)

    Cons

    little confidence in management or their plans ..... which seem to change dramatically by the quarter ... org changes and initiatives create massive workload, but little consideration for resources to get it done .... managers don't really manage, just issue targets (the German way)

    Osram has very good products and is very well known between lightning professionals . German design is nice and beautiful ! Quality is a must !

    Cons

    New product development is slow, meanwhile Chinese competitors move fast with reasonable quality osram launch's would take forever !!

    Pros

    Some very good people in development. Flexible working environment.

    Cons

    -Lack of Focus from the executive level. Decisions are made on a "Germany First" basis. -Money is spent on a lot of non value add activities. -Going back to being primarily a components supplier means they are going back down the value chain. -Marketing dominated, not development dominated -The company tried to be an entrepreneurial business model with the German Procedural Straight Jacket which killed the momentum to be quick.

    Changes is commercial lighting environment are proving challenging No clear direction for the future Uncertain stability German overlords do not seem to value US operations Corporate communication is terrible, leaving even high performers wondering if they will have a job tomorrow

    No longer have to deal with the German disrespect and hatred after December. Our plant is being shut down.

    Osram want's to phase out all U.S. plants.
