    Pros

good benefits, matching rrsp, flex hours and great office to work. there is a swimming pool facility in the building

    Cons

politics is too high. everyone is trying to save their neck and sometimes it just gets loud. the attrition rate is also too high.

    Advice to Management

/change the management. this one is no good. I am sure in the next 1 year they are going to drain out the cash

I have been working at O'Reilly Auto Parts full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Room for advancement due to size and growth of company

    Cons

Often short staffed so team members do get burned out, start out pay is what's required by law especially if little to no experience in the field. Stores are only closed two days a year, so family time isn't an important factor at the corporate level.

    Advice to Management

Let your managers pay decent people a decent wage, and allow your employees that are in the stores more time with their families

    Pros

Well organized company. Decent compensation in the Northwest for CDL drivers. Weekends off.

    Cons

99% percent of work is at night. Low pay for most employees who are not upper management or CDL drivers. Stock price seems to be #1 priority.

    Advice to Management

Get feedback from drivers and mechanics before you make a huge change to try to save a penny; it might cost you a dime.

I have been working at O'Reilly Auto Parts full-time

    Pros

At my location it feels like all of my coworkers are family and I'm well respected and looked to for a variety of different types of information.

    Cons

The higher ups only care about numbers. If you want a raise expect to have the sales to really back it despite it being mostly out of your control from the commercial side.

    Advice to Management

Value the employees for their experience and knowledge and not solely on their sales.

I worked at O'Reilly Auto Parts full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Discounts on parts, met & work with knowledge people

    Cons

Pay, whether hourly or salary is not what it should be

    Advice to Management

Quit worrying about whether or not you can see the name on a team members shirt because it might be covered by the jacket they're wearing and deal with the REAL problems you have at your hub store in Lima. They screw every store in the district by not shipping parts ordered for commercial accts & don't notify you in advance. You don't find out until after the hub driver gets to your store that they didn't ship the parts meanwhile you have a commercial customer looking at the clock thinking "ok I should be getting my parts from OReilly soon" then his phone rings & it's you telling him the hub store didnt ship parts as planned, there's no more hub runs today but I can have parts here tomorrow out of our warehouse. Customers go somewhere else when this happens & it happened a lot and then upper mgmt wonders why commercial sales are down at your store & why those customers that the hub store screwed for you won't buy from you anymore. Get your priorities in order people, if all of O'Reilly's hub stores run like the one in Lima, then you might as well think about filing chapter 7 as you're not going to stay in business very much longer by continuing to allow this type of practice without ever doing anything about it.
