    Pros

I really enjoy working for an established employer. NetMotion has been around for over 15 years which means that we have a solid history with a well-defined product and market space, and because of that are able to do more for employees compared to other employers our size (we're just over 100 people). The company offers great benefits, lots of paid time off that grows with years of service, and intangibles like a monthly company get together to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries. The company provides the benefits of a big company, along with the benefits of working for a smaller employer where you have better opportunities to collaborate and talk to peers outside of your immediate team.

    Cons

I don't really have any cons to mention, but am really interested to see where NetMotion takes its products in the future. The company is the industry leader in North America and is working hard to branch out internationally, and when we do, it will mean a lot of great opportunities. We have such a solid product and so many great people that really believe in the work they put into it, that I don't doubt we'll be successful.

    Struggling with Equity Capital Ownership

    May 10, 2016 -

    Pros

Strong esprit de corps among certain groups - contributes to job satisfaction. Company has mostly hit sales metrics for the last year, enough to partially fund the bonus pool.

    Cons

The company is owned by equity capital; predictably, they’re trying to flip it. Having suffered through large layoffs and seeing a corresponding climb in profitability, we’re now in the sales phase of their ownership. From a short term perspective, the strategy makes sense and the owners are entitled to make a profit on their investment. From a long term growth perspective, it’s another story. NetMotion builds products – like all product companies, if you lay off the people who build and sell products, it shouldn’t be a surprise that the company can’t build something new/ exciting in the next year, keep sales accelerating, and keep the profit curve climbing. It certainly shouldn’t be a surprise that the remaining staff is deeply cynical about the leadership. Moreover, it doesn’t help that we have neither a full time CEO or CFO.

    Really positive momentum

    Pros

NetMotion went through a revolving door at the top for a while that created some instability and uncertainties. Things seem to be back on track after two years under the same leadership. Big emphasis on company culture. Lots of energy and enthusiasm among employees. Record sales growth. New innovative and disruptive products coming to market. Great to be part of something fun and exciting with a positive future.

    Cons

NetMotion is one of the best kept secrets in the marketplace, most people don't realize there are solutions to their mobile challenges and need to hear our story.

    Great company culture!

    Pros

One of the best things about NetMotion is the company culture. The people here are great and you can tell they really stand behind the product. The company has some really cool perks too, like, Bagel Fridays and monthly "tea times" to celebrate employee birthdays and work anniversaries. You can tell everybody really enjoys these moments and it since my coworkers are great, it makes it easy to mingle.

    Cons

There are no cons now that management in my department is taken care of. There was a period of time where things were shaky, but it was definitely a special case.

    Pros

Great team environment and Sales culture. Leadership allows you the freedom to think creatively about your business and provides lots of opportunities for career development and growth. Lots of very happy customers and growth opportunities in new verticals. CEO Is very supportive and always willing to help close a deal.

    Cons

Brand recognition outside of core verticals and markets is not as strong as it could be. Not a good place for people looking to coast by and not contribute.
