    Pros

    Perfect for new artists.
Got to be a generalist- which is rare. Found it both challenging and rewarding.
Take ownership of your projects, you start and finish them.
If you do well you are treated well, but if you do poorly- See Cons

    Cons

If you do poorly on your deadlines you are treated really bad and given little support.
    Basically no proper training.
Wildly varying experience depending on team.
Bad case of jaded senior artists.
generally everyone sees it as a stepping stone unto better things - justifiably.

    Pros

    Great people to work with.

A bit of a sweatshop in shot output and time tracking.

I worked at Nerdcorps Entertainment as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Anyone under the level of supervisor are very talented and nice.

    Cons

You will never get promotion if you whine. They care only about the quantity not quality. Management always miss placed talent into a wrong field. If you are new hired after DHX had bought out NC, you are fine. If you are former employee then you will still get low ball pay and will never get raised.

    Advice to Management

Please treat better to the ones who knows what they are doing. Stop promoting ppl only because they are friends of you.

    Cons

outdated software, disconnect between higher ups and workers, improper leadership, inflexible hours, low pay.

    Advice to Management

have more of an open communication with leads, seniors and employees in general.

I worked at Nerdcorps Entertainment full-time

    Pros

This company is a good stepping stone for people coming into the industry. You get to move around and try different things. And build up your skills if you can handle the work load.

    Cons

Unfortunately, the good things about the company creates a negative effect, you often have to multitask too much, expect you to do work that is beyond your title/pay grade.

Hard to get proper training since your supervisors, leads, seniors are often so busy and juggling so many different tasks. Experienced artists are hard to come by in the company since they often move on to other companies.

They tell people they are paying a 'competitive wage' when the way you pay their employees hasn't changed for almost 10 years...

They don't often recruit experienced people because they claim they were being 'unreasonable' and asking too much.

    Advice to Management

Like to see business deals made with more of the employees benefit in mind rather than what is beneficial financially.

Set time for R&D and plan ahead rather than just expect people to figure things out things in production, especially the budget never allows any room for that WHILE in production. The 'R&D'
we get are always done poorly has so much work left that they have to figure out when in production.

  6. "Lol at this place"

    Pros

Decent people who are in the same position as you across departments.

    Cons

Useless leadership. Sparcx is the most flawed system there is. People treat you like you are a child in school, with the constant monitoring. Pay is absolutely horrid compared to industry standard.

    Advice to Management

Trust your employee's, they aren't kids.

I worked at Nerdcorps Entertainment as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Opportunities to progress, interesting work, full scenes assigned to animators

    Cons

Largest quota I've ever had to produce, time tracking software tracks every second of your day.

    Advice to Management

Communicate and be more visible to your employees.
