I have been working at Nelnet full-time for more than 10 years
Pros
Flexible schedules, work at home available, good benefits, great people.
Cons
With the gov't changes to the student loan industry it can be a bit unknown what's going to happen next or where things are going. There's been a lot of turnover lately since Nelnet bought GLHEC.

I have been working at Nelnet full-time for less than a year
Pros
So far it’s been great ! Training is super informative, fun, and engaging. Our trainer Jamie Young is an absolute ROCKSTAR! Everyone has been really inviting and professional. Huge kitchen and free coffee and drinks ! There is ALWAYS food being passed around the office. Casual dress , good benefits package, room for advancement , liberal PTO. Gym membership several shifts to choose from and soooo much more !
Cons
So far I have no complaints !

Pros
Good people, most mean well. Good benefits and decent pay. Relaxed dress code.
Cons
Schizophrenic. They LOVE you and all of their employees - until they dont. As said in other reviews, they are a federal contractor so they jump no matter what DoE says. They do go through massive layoffs when you are no longer economically feasible.

Pros
Benefits are good. Starting pay is pretty decent. Holiday and ETO offered is great. As long as you are doing what you need to, you won't be micromanaged.
Cons
There isn't much room for growth in Colorado.
