    Cons

    Local wiki can be clearer.

    Advice to Management

Keep going like that. People like when management is honest and closer to them.

I worked at NaviNet full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It is hard to find a working environment in Northern Ireland that is better than NaviNet. Engineers are treated exceptionally well. Teams are well thought out and are well structured (dedicated QA in teams is a stroke of genius). The lean/kanban development approach works well with the products that they build. Senior Management have a good grasp of the technical challenges faced and allow engineers time to... build what's right. No blame culture and seldom date-driven. Dedicated DevOps team is a bonus. Pizza Friday every fortnight, or catering any time there's a Town Hall Meeting is enjoyed by everyone. At times of celebration, after new release or as a kind gesture, senior management allow staff to leave early on a Friday.

    Cons

The work is not the most challenging. NaviNet in Belfast has an intense recruitment process which results in very talented engineers being employed to do mediocre work. The laid back management approach can be a turn off for some, as boredom sets in quickly and there's only so much table tennis you can play. Some teams and peer groups are cliquey and there's a perception that internal promotions are based on who... their drinking buddies are.

    Advice to Management

You know when people are bored. Take the first step and support those who feel that way. It obvious who they are. Other than that keep up the good work!

I have been working at NaviNet

    Pros

Great work environment with supportive team members and management. Considerable amount of time dedicated to research rather than just hammering out code, testing and releasing. Small perks like pizza friday, company sponsored events. You get fed almost once a week on average by the company. 2 company events each year which are a full day off work. Half day Fridays through August.

    Cons

Pension contribution not as good as other companies in Belfast No bonus, but salaries are reasonably good

    I worked at NaviNet

    Pros

    - Great benefits, perks (pizza fridays, beer fridays, company outings, cupcakes, messages) - Surrounded by awesome, smart people. - Start up like culture - Location

    Cons

    - Okay salary - Depending on what department you are in this may differ greatly but work/life balance can be non-existent - Rushing to push out products leading to continuous late nights. - Too much time spent on legacy code

    Advice to Management

Provide more training across the board, especially for the non-technical folk.

    Pros

There are so many great people in every part of this company, willing to help anyone at all with whatever problem they might have. Have a question, just ask it! Great location, a 5 minute walk from South Station. Every other Friday is pizza Friday!

    Cons

I think it's important for as many people as possible to know what's happening in the company in general, but even with monthly company-wide meetings but most departments seem to be segmented and work separately.

    Pros

walk from the T, or park your car, plop right down in a comfy chair and attend a town hall meeting in the laid back lounge setting, and submit a question (or two), nominate a coworker, have an idea? there is open door management, pizza Friday after a long week, summer outings, training sessions, webinars, benefits to keep your teeth aligned, massages, (ping pong, too, people!), corporate recess, heck no, don't trek... through the snow, work from home, and pick from a pile of vacation days!

I have been working at NaviNet for less than a year

    Pros

There are so many things wonderful about NaviNet. The company has a great corporate culture and sense of community. Everyone works hard and helps each other to get things done. Plenty of opportunities to jump into projects you're interested in. There is also a lot of food. Pizza Fridays, Beer Fridays, Monthly Cupcakes, and ice cream socials. There's also an employee-run group focused on charity which is great to be... a part of.

    Cons

I definitely think having a standard for making sure new hires get up to speed on what NaviNet actually is and does would be great. Communication can also be an issue, but usually people I talk to are always willing to make time.

    Advice to Management

Everything is pretty great so far.
