High Talent, Good Workflow / Extreme Crunch, Low Pay, Bad HR

    Pros

    - You will work with some of the best talent in the industry - The workflow at Naughty Dog is very empowering, you are trusted to get the job done without any constraints, no one is going to be looking over your shoulder. - You are almost guaranteed to work on a cool project - Everyone has a voice, the hierarchy is very flat and everyone is open to new ideas that can make the game better.

    Cons

    - I have been through many crunches. Naughty Dog was by far the worst. They say they are going to change every time but they never do. If you are going to join, you have to be ok with doing 60 to 80 hours a week for 1-2 years for every project. - The pay is amongst the worst in the Los Angeles area. Some people with lots of experience barely get paid well to live on their own, let alone sustaining a family. - HR is inexistent. There is not a hint of interest for the person that does the job, they only care about getting talent and squeezing it. This is why after every project there is an stampede.

Greats devs, great people, too much crunch before game release.

    Pros

Great devs: You can tell these are some of the best of the best they rarely mess up meaning you work less. Great people: Most of them are funny, fun to hang around, and make for great friends. Great engine: Their engine is incredible to make 3D person games and a lot easier than something like unreal 4. Money: I got promoted 3 times during the 4 years I worked there (3 TIMES!) and they really sort you out and can tell who works the most and single them out. Started around 80k a year and went up to around 170 k a year in the end of employment before I got a better offer.

    Cons

Crunch: A lot of crunch before a game is released, but a higher up said they would sort that out later so it could of changed. Management: Not very organized, but that could've changed in the time I left. I don't want to point fingers but one of the higher ups isn't very organized, of course you said you were gonna rehaul the system so it could of changed.
