Good place to work but not for everyone
Mar. 5, 2023 - Corporate Solutions Analyst in Toronto, ONRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Smart and nice people, great culture, great place for a beginner to reach an intermediate level of expertise on capital markets, steep learning curve, great exposure which will help you develop as a person and a professional. I would retire from here if the profile aligned with my long-term goals.
Cons
No work life balance. Steep learning curve means a lot of hard work which is not for everyone. This is a demanding job. You learn the meaning of multi-tasking, pressure, multiple and simultaneous deadlines very quickly. Working on live markets and be timely with updating the clients with the processes along with your normal deliverables can be hard work most of the times. If you are not ready for the grind, probably best to stay away. Remuneration definitely doesn't match the quantity or quality of work demanded.
