I have been working at Nando's Canada full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great culture, competitive pay, good training, great leadership, Griller's, buddy program, scholarship program and partnerships all available and open. Diversity is seen at all levels.

    Cons

Can't really think of any at the moment, although I am sure there are some things that can be improved upon.

    Advice to Management

Find a way to ensure that leadership training is available often for all Nandocas to benefit from.

Great working relationships with colleagues , pay + tips, the food

    Cons

    Advice to Management

When you ask for people's availability, at least stay within those parameters. We gave you an availability for a reason.

    I worked at Nando's Canada full-time

    Pros

The front and back of house staff share tips equally and receive a minimum wage not a server's wage.

    Cons

Management has favourites, they work you to the bone, not really a professional work environment, low standards on cleanliness.

    Advice to Management

Treat all staff equally and fairly, provide more opportunities for career advancement, be more professional, maintain a clean work place.

    I worked at Nando's Canada part-time

    Pros

    - Free food (sometimes)
    - Get tipped fairly often. Roughly 5$ extra per shift
    - Nice co-workers

    Cons

    - Random undercover customers would constantly be reviewing you on your performance, which was more annoying than anything. Eg: did you serve the customers drink with a glass full of ice? That didn't make sense because it was a self-serve restaurant in that department
    - Eventually your clothes smelled like Nando's
    - Some rude customers

    Advice to Management

Be nicer to your waiters during rush hours. It's fine if you're stressed, but taking some of it out on the cashiers/grillers is not very nice - even if it happens occasionally.
