I worked at Moneris full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The management team at the time I was there was very competent. Things have changed dramatically since I left so I wouldn't be able to make a statement on the current leadership team

    Cons

It is a pretty flat organization with not much room for growth. Many of the managers and directors are young so they are not going anywhere any time soon, meaning everyone is stuck where they are for the foreseeable future.

I have been working at Moneris full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Good stepping stone if you want to end up working at a bank. Laid back environment

    Cons

Extremely political environment. Inefficient process with disorganized structure. Incompetent senior management with no interest in growing the business. Employees suffer from mismanagement or micromanagement and have no room for growth.

    I worked at Moneris

    Pros

Pays for exam fee On subway line Close to locations Good work life balance-- 9 to 5 most of the time

    Cons

Salary too low . Too many old people working for years in Moneris sitting at managerial level ,they promote favoritism and try to be dictators therefore not a good place for people who like to come up with new ideas and implement them , trust me you wont be allowed to do that.So just sit down like a ROBOT and do as you are told to. Too much politics again because of many people working there for years No room for growth People act as spy of manager and keep track of your time , what time you go to lunch ,what time you come back , what are you doing , very toxic environment . No trust. Very frustrated people in the accounting department , most of them looking for jobs outside.

I worked at Moneris full-time for more than a year

    Pros

No pros at all. Easy to get in. If you ready to learn how to lie to merchants

    Cons

Low salary, no room for growth, a a lot of incompetent managers non IT, managers taking credits for others people work. This is a dead end. Promote lies to merchants in order to sell services. Very depressing environment

I worked at Moneris full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The job postings are all over craigslist. They value any experience from anywhere over internal candidates.

    Cons

Too many to list. It's easy to get a job there, because or turnovers and constant shuffles. No room for growth unless you have mastered ass-kissing and office politics. If you are good in these categories, you do not need to know anything else.

    I worked at Moneris

    Pros

Moneris has a great culture. I found my supporting cast to be easily accessible and friendly. Great benefits and adequate vacation time. Good work play balance.

    Cons

Not a lot of room for growth. Comp plan changed yearly. Consistency with sister company in Canada left much to be desired.
