Great place to learn and grow!
Aug. 19, 2014 - Anonymous Employee in Toronto, ONRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
There are lots of opportunities to expand your skill set and grow your career! As the company continues to evolve, you are constantly challenged and are able to move up and take on additional responsibilities. I really appreciate the fantastic company culture, fun atmosphere, amazing colleagues and work/life balance.
Cons
MRG has now integrated with Decision Resources Group, and the amount of change can be overwhelming for some, but it's a really interesting time to be at the company. New processes and systems are being implemented to support growth, and with that comes along a few bumps in the road, but they're on the right path.

Pros
You can not ask for smarter, more helpful, fun colleagues than those you would find here! The corporate culture here is amazing, and it's refreshing to see a company constantly try to improve and fight for their employees. There is a lot of opportunities and growth in the company, especially since they amalgamated with Decision Resources Group, which allows you to work with people in global offices (London, UK, Hong Kong, Manhattan, Boston, etc.). Having an office in Yorkville and right off the subway line is super convenient too!
Cons
There is a lot of change in the company, again, especially since the amalgamation with DRG, and that raises a lot of questions, But the management team in Toronto spends a lot of time talking to employees explaining the change and really having an open door where you feel comfortable talking to them, and folks appreciate that. It might be nice if the DRG leadership team spends more time with employees to have these conversations, but the online quarterly town halls also work. Compensation could be higher, but the work-life balance, great colleagues, great benefits, and great programs help balance that out.

A young, fun place to work
Aug. 14, 2012 - Analyst in Toronto, ONRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Millennium Research Group has a great team that is fun to work with and a management team that is driven to take the company to the next level.
Cons
There is a standard salary structure, and it starts a bit low, but if you show promise and stay for a bit, you will be compensated well.
- Current Employee★★★★★
Friendly culture, bright individuals and a great place to learn various skill sets.

Room for growth Great culture Allows innovation Hires the best
Cons
It is a fast paced environment, with a lot of changes. If you want a laid back environment, then MRG may not be the best fit.

A great career starting point - not a mature company but may be a really great place to work in 10-20 years
Feb. 1, 2012 - in Toronto, ONRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Very fun people, young workforce with lots of bright ideas and innovation, sense of community and real friendships at work. Feels a bit more like a highschool or camp versus a professional organization, which makes it fun. Lots of opportunity to learn and gain interesting experience. You are expected to do a lot and take a lot of ownership over you work and therefore you really learn a lot.
Cons
Not much growth opportunity. Everyone starts off at the same salary (about $40K) and then it goes up in small amounts twice per year as you get "promoted" through different levels. Makes you feel like a kid - instead of an adult. This company is very unlike any other professional organization. A big con is that everyone complains about everything constantly at MRG. No one working there has ever worked anywhere else - everyone comes straight out of university - therefore, although people complain, they really have no frame of reference. It isn't that bad at MRG - it is actually quite a fun place to work. The benefits, RRSP, maternity leave etc. are not good.
