I worked at Microchip Technology full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

An overall Ok company to maintain a living

    Cons

    - Too much work, at least the verification group - The daily scrum meeting is a nightmare. Need to report what was completed yesterday / what is planned for today. This is kinda micro management, overwhelmed and gives too much pressure. - Pay and benefit is so-so, not generous to employees

I have been working at Microchip Technology full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Job stability. Not much else.

    Cons

Work culture seems to allows for employees and managers to engage in deceitful behaviour, backstabbing, and whole host of other unethical behaviour. Kills employee morale. Low workplace morale. Claim is for good work/life balance, but when it is crunch time, work/life balance is actually not good Pay is considerably lower than industry standard, which is made worse by very high living costs of Vancouver area Not much innovation or forward thinking Little opportunities for career growth
