Good place to start your career / breadth wise exposure

      Pros

      * Fast paced environment that allows you to explore a career path that works best for you (choice of industry, type of work, teams you work with, clients you serve) * Opportunity for a fast career growth. Promotions every 6 months is a reality at the firm. * Learn it all, do it all - Given the breadth of client base one can learn a lot at Mckinsey * Exposure to CXO level clients, focus on 'impact' * Travel and related perks

      Cons

      * Non existent WLB, travel could become hectic * You don't really own what you work on - rotation is a 2 sided coin * You are just a resource until you become a Partner/Senior Partner * Few bad hires makes work not so fun * Promotions are greatly driven by being able to pull strings and forgetting to sleep * One may not enjoy being a part of this ruthless $ impact focused machine * Good salary, but not enough considering sweat, tears and blood invested
