I have been working at Matt & Nat full-time

    Pros

    Great Benefits
    Friendly Co-workers
    Beautiful Office
A lot of perks such as croissants, fruits, coffee, cocktail hour every friday!
One of the less cliquey offices you would find in this industry

    Cons

Work life can get very demanding but that comes down to your own time management.
Some peeople who work here (very few) focus more on gossip than work and try to poison peoples minds but you have to keep your eyes on the prize - your career.

    Advice to Management

Conduct meetings on a regular basis to keep the communication going and get rid of any misunderstandings others may have created.

I have been working at Matt & Nat part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Matt & Nat = no pros but you will find many cons.

    Cons

Where do I start... while we are working like slaves in their retail stores, they be in the Head office writing their own Glassdoor reviews to boost their ratings. So they can hire teenagers and use them as slaves for few months and then fire them for no reason. We all know that none of the current Matt and nat employees wrote those reviews and the former employees have nothing good to say about this brand.

    Advice to Management

Y’all not gonna take no advice.

I have been working at Matt & Nat full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Having a job and free croissants sometimes

    Cons

You know there is something wrong when HR and the owner is posting reviews on Glassdoor too boost up their employment RATINGS...

Negative work environment, the CEO/Owner pins employees and departments against each other.

HR has a lack of experience and expertise

    The company is unionized

The product is flawed and is not what they market it to be

    Advice to Management

We rather get paid more than have half a croissants every Thursday...

    Pros

There are no pros at all.

    Cons

Everything! Owner is greedy and tries to manipulate the employees. Fire people for no valid reason. Family members employed have no idea what they're doing.

    Advice to Management

Any advice won't be taken seriously, so no point providing any.

    I worked at Matt & Nat part-time

    Pros

    1) The discount
    2) Since it was my first job, I gained experience although it was probably not worthwhile.

    Cons

Being vegan, I was curious about the history of this company so I explored the manufacturing process and the methods and ethics by which it runs its company. I had found out that their so called "rules" (SA8000 certification) of paying all labor workers a fair wage was in fact false. Majority of their bags are made from PVC which has negative impact throughout its production and life cycle and may also possibly be hazardous to our health. There's also no proof that MATT and NAT monitors any of the environmental impact of their supply chain. The reason I left was because I do not feel comfortable supporting a brand that doesn't live by its own metrics and values. No care or compassion for their staff. Additionally, the company had a substantial amounts of refunds which goes to show the terrible quality/construction of the product.

    Advice to Management

    SHUT DOWN.
Show evidence of the ethics by which you base your company upon. For instance, elaborating how products are made as opposed to being vague. 100% transparency so vegans are aware of the brand they are investing in.

    Pros

    Paid bus pass or parking

    Cons

CEO is extremely manipulative and fires minimum one employee a month for no logical reason. Bad energy. Stay away at ALL COSTS.

    Advice to Management

CEO should retire and find someone else to run his family owned business. In theory, good company but he is too much of a tyrant.

    "Customer Care - Horrible Management"

    StarStarStarStarStar
    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Doesn't Recommend

    I worked at Matt & Nat full-time

    Pros

Great concept of vegan brand, employee discount is great and inexpensive

    Cons

There is a reason why no one stays working in this department, the management is really bad... instead of being a coach/teacher to guide, you get pulled aside on a weekly basis to be criticized on your work ability. The manager constantly monitors your sent emails on a daily basis and will negatively criticize in the worst possible ways.. not a good model in any way. People come to work here for a couple of days and never return.. that should be enough reason not to apply or attempt to work in customer care

    Advice to Management

Reconsider the management and you will start to see the stability of employees actually staying in this department
