I have been working at Match Marketing Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Leadership with many, many of the hardest working people I’ve ever met at Head Office. This is a culture where I have been consistently supported in my decisions to put the needs of people and families first. I have never once had pushback on this. This is also a company that rewards performance, and just like any company you need to work hard to prove your worth.

    Cons

The only con would be for people who feel entitled for pay raises/promotions, or have an inflated sense of the value they bring to an organization. This isn’t the place for those who are self-serving and entitled, but the government and wal-mart are always hiring so there’s always that to fall back on for those folks.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

    Inexperienced HR

I have been working at Match Marketing Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Work in a mall , access to food court and other shopping wants or needs.

    Cons

Be prepared to get recycled if you don't wanna spread your bum wide open and take on a whole lotta B.S as you do so. You make less then $14 minimum wage (I have no clue how they get away with that...) $13 per hour and you get a tiny little commission lol . No different from working at McDonald's. Actually McDonald's might have more incentives to be employed by them. Even if you sacrifice everything for this company and work up the corporate ladder. The District Manager makes $70, 000 per year salary! Lol that in my opinion is aweful considering how much d he/she has to suck to be there . Oh and your a multi carrier....So you have constant competition within your own company . Just brace for a lotta disappointment. Or enjoy your experience some people enjoy being suckers. I would assume that 3% of the whole company . As in the regional manager s take home 97% of the income as a whole.

    Advice to Management

5000 turnover rate in a baby company that s under 5 years old . Create a mock sale system soo new hires can have a clue as to how to activate a service. Stop watching the cameras and be proactive. It's actually creepy ...If they want a photo shoot calender of me just ask lol.

    Pros

Great perks on special occasions and a laid back atmosphere.

    Cons

Executives have no interest in getting to know you. Company makes promises they can't keep. No real room for growth and high positions are given based on likability not on work ethic.

    Advice to Management

Get to know your employees!!! - Many are overseen due to bad directors taking credit for their work and managers that cannot manage. Great talent and work ethic is overlooked too easily based solely on one persons opinion.

    Pros

Windows all over, so that you can see outside at all the happy people going to great jobs.

    Cons

I can assure you all the glowing reviews are by the same person who just keeps posting positive reviews. Sorry but your clients and staff a different story.

Nobody follows professional ethics here. The rules and laws don't apply for some reason at Match. No respect/No values/A irresponsible senior leadership team who spends more money on bringing the wrong high level jokes of the industry then to try and promote the ones who get the job done on a daily basis. Let's not forget company acquisitions that ruin happy employees. All in the name of getting that one account that you can't even keep. What about investing in a down trending company with no future. Money well spent! No raises or cost of living increase for the next 10-15 year folks.

Clients continue to leave (run out the door) seeing that the future isn't with a company that treats employees like yesterdays garbage. When do you start pointing fingers at the account team for not servicing the clients and the senior leadership team that's too lazy to leave their 5x5 office? What about the Creative Leadership at this company? When do you point the finger? Time and resources spent on RFP's and pitches that go nowhere. A traffic person that is dated and that has no personal ethics or values.

    Just say no!

    Advice to Management

There is no point in offering any advice as nothing will change.

I worked at Match Marketing Group full-time

    Pros

Running water, chairs. Multiple exits points from which to run screaming.

    Cons

Sitting far back from the curb
    Within an industrial 'burb
    Is a marketing group
    Of some ill-repute
Whose stories you may not have heard...

    Located such as they are,
There’s plenty of spaces for cars,
    Free parking galore
    Belies what’s in store
For employees who let down their guard

    Management, deadly and dumb
They smile like sharks smelling chum,
    With greedy dead eyes
    And effortless lies
They keep the cogs under their thumb

    A tiny, ridiculous man
Who speaks of their grandiose plans
    Will ply you with snacks
    And claps on the back
While holding a knife in his hand

Imagine the words that were lost
    When Goebbels was suddenly boss
    Unleashed by the brass
    Maniacal hack
He gleefully picked who got tossed

    For many a welcome reprieve
From stories too gross to believe
    They cheat and they laugh
    They screw their own staff
    You’ll welcome the imminent heave

So read the reports for yourself
This place is a circle of Hell
    A cesspool, a sewer
    Of human manure
    A morally destitute shell

    Advice to Management

    Repent.

I have been working at Match Marketing Group full-time

    Pros

There are fewer and fewer everyday.

    Cons

This is in reply to the comment below. The review is supposed to read to build up the company but in reality it just tore down the employees, calling them "entitled and self-serving". If those out there that give their all at work, are reliable and dependable and want even just a cost of inflation raise are acting "self-serving and entitled" then Yes, I guess we are. Rent, food, utilities, gas, keep raising, but our wages do not reflect this. Yes, I do feel entitled, entitled to put food on my families table and a roof over their head.

    Advice to Management

Show your employees some respect. You have a lot of good hardworking people, don't tell them "Wal-Mart is hiring." Get off your lofty throne and put yourself in other peoples shoes for a day. It's sad how MatchMg treats its people. They really had promise as a company but you can see where their greed has taken them. Counting down everyday until I get out. That Wal-Mart job is actually looking pretty good.
