I worked at Martin Marietta Materials full-time for less than a year

    Pros

A somewhat decent rate of pay.

    Cons

Management. I refused to do a job for safety reasons, I was fired a month later when the supervisor lost the paperwork for a day off and it was deemed that I just didn't show up. Constant harassment and lewd comments about my wife. Constant rasict and homophobic comments from all staff. Not good

I worked at Martin Marietta Materials full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Had a lot of work and all the equipment to do the job.

    Cons

Some Employee’s were under qualified and supervisor’s were rarely available. Leads were milking jobs for overtime and would not take advice from experienced millwrights on tasks.

    Pros

Amazing benefits that you really can’t turn down. Very stable company with billions in revenue. Pension plan which is extremely rare these days.

    Cons

I worked at Martin Marietta Materials full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Depending on where you're at you either have a lot of opportunity to control your atmosphere and equipment or not. I was, from how I understand it, very fortunate to be in the Augusta GA area.

    Cons

Low pay for an electricians skill set. Decent benefits though. Very little room for growth. Once you're an electrician there are very few jobs for which to compete for above your level.

I worked at Martin Marietta Materials full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Decent starting pay, decent benefits, annual raises

    Cons

Tough hours with zero breaks or time out of the scale house, poor allowance for work/life balance, advancement is based on pay opposed to skill so little advancement opportunities, they'll put customers above employees every time - even when it's illegal (asking to tolerate sexual harassment from customers or falsify documents on their behalf).

I worked at Martin Marietta Materials full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great benefits, and some of the people, both mgmt. and non-mgmt., are some of the best I've worked with.

    Cons

Office Mgrs have al the headaches and stress of being a manager, but without all of the perks, such as, company vehicle, bonuses, training and grooming.
