    Pros

Good hourly pay for unionized employees, decent benefits, good people to work with, some opportunity for advancement within the company, "perks" like international hotel discounts

    Cons

sometimes long hours, sometimes very few hours due to the seasonal nature of the industry. Very likely you will have to work holidays such as Christmas.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to your employees. It often feels like the hardest working employees are the ones who get the short end of the stick. Mid-level management tends to play favorites.

    Pros

great company with a strong strategic vision. They really care about their people, personally and professionally. Lots of opportunity to advance your career. Within the managed properties they are consistent with their processes and policies. Great envioronment and engergy in this industry and Marriott is trully the best of the best in hospitality. If i ever return to the industry I would never work for another company other than Marriott.

    Cons

Sometime changes are slow to happen with a large corporation, but saying that they are always trying to move forward and be on the cutting edge of business.
