Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookI worked at Markham Stouffville Hospital full-time for less than a year
Pros
I was hired quickly. Loved my coworkers.
Cons
Would send out schedules usually a day before work, I wouldn't know until Monday if I was working Tuesday for example. Zero respect for staff, I received a text confirming my shift starting at 5pm, I confirmed. When I arrived they said I am starting at 6. I showed the text and didn't even receive an apology, they just shrugged their shoulders. I sat in my car and cried. I was working a 6pm-6am, 12 hours is a long enough let alone 13. They didn't care. Didn't train anyone. One manager would tell us one thing, we would do that one thing, then another would get angry at us for doing that thing. The other manager would NEVER step up and say, oh I told them to do that. Me and my co-workers became close due to this. ZERO appreciating for working frontline durning COVID-19. Beyond disorganized, with zero training. My last shift I worked, an overnight, the woman taking me over was 20 mins late and then proceeded to ask me a million questions about what she was doing as it was her first ever shift. I tried to explain, but I was exhausted and overnight staff have different duties. She was upset with me. What I wanted to say is I am not paid to train you, and you shouldn't be directing your anger towards me. There were issues with my pay cheque that took weeks of constant nagging to get fixed. They would never apologize for their mistakes, I won't get into detail. The excuses were ridiculous, and dismissive of any issue. Usually they would be redirected to the employee. I was debating posting this review, but I believe front line workers deserved so much more. Our hours were long, and it's scary. This is not just my opinion I have spoken to many coworkers that feel the exact same way. We were treated with zero respect. I had more respectful managers at McDonalds.
