    Pros

MBS provides adequate training and everyone is really good to work with.

    Cons

Can take a couple weeks or more for expense reimbursals

    Advice to Management

Providing a better understanding of the chain of command will allow part timers to know who to call if their immediate supervisor cannot be reached and there is a need for a fast answer.

    Pros

Flexible with daily challenges. You can grow and develop your own team. Working with different cultures.

    Cons

Workload, issues out of our control, unrealistic expectations at times, poor communication

    Advice to Management

Promote those who really work hard not just who is your friend. Get rid of those who are lazy and no longer meeting expectations. Pay those who work the hardest the highest.

I worked at MBS Textbook Exchange full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Low responsibility, average benefits, low expectations.

    Cons

Not the place for someone who wants to accomplish things in life. Terrible pay, little room for advancement. They hire not the best people but people who they believe will stay there the longest to avoid training. You work here to make the top dogs richer, not to help the world in any other way. Plus, the industry is dying.

    Advice to Management

Get managers who can recognize talent, hire talent, stoke that talent instead of letting it die.

    Cons

The working conditions were not ideal. Very few windows.

I have been working at MBS Textbook Exchange full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good co-workers, generally caring and supportive.

    Cons

Managers that threaten you with the threat of dismissal rather than encouraging positive situations. Systems vice-president not interested in the morale of staff and very willing to show anger without understanding the whole issue.

    Advice to Management

Worry about how your disrespectful anger affects those you depend on and hire someone with skills from the specific area to manage, not someone from an unrelated area or from outside the company.
