I have been working at Los Angeles USD part-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Choice of schools, few positive working environments

    Cons

Little to NO discipline and behavior plans from administrators, little to no support from most parents, behavior by students is ridiculously out of control at most schools, preferential treatment by both teachers and administrators, lack of funds, older schools have deteriorating buildings. No improvement in schools, pay, overall behavior in over 10 years I've worked there, even the strike didn't make a difference!

"No one really notices you coming and going, some really nice people"

I worked at Los Angeles USD part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Really, when it came down to it, the hours were only 6 per shift because of lunch break; the pay was really good at 190 per day and 168 after taxes.

    Cons

I don't like subbing because you never know if you are going to work that day or not - waiting for 3 hours by the phone to see if there will be a call. I really did not like that. I got stuck in the middle schools because they're probably one of the most difficult ages, but I ended up liking it because you only have to keep the class calm for 50 minutes and then they leave.
