    Pros

    Awesome people, a leadership team that is always trying to do the right thing, culture of fun, lots of opportunities for advancement, open door policy, everyone always open to constitutive feedback, treats everyone like family

    Cons

    Loyal to its people to a fault sometimes. It’s ok to make people changes to transform and sometimes some people don’t realize they need a change so it ends up being a win-win

    Advice to Management

    Stay the course, congrats on the recent gender diversity promotions, transformation is hard but consistency and determination will ensure the 100-year journey and vision of the company!

    I have been working at Long View Systems full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    The people make Long View. From the very top of the company right the way down, there is a willingness to help and work together to make your work and personal life better. The company are winning new business all the time, and you feel that you’re part of something awesome!

    Cons

    There’a not much that I would class as a negative, though I haven’t had much in the way of management or training, which isn’t a major issue.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what your doing

    People across all branches want to help and support each other. Lots of offerings to help clients. Dozens of talented resources.

    Cons

    Too much process at times, a little over staffed with non-contributors.

    Advice to Management

    Review superfluous roles and trim to increase efficiency and profitability.

    Pros

    Amazing Opportunities if you are self-driven. Flexible work hours. Leadership is outcome-focused, they are not punch-clock monitors. Always trying to stay on top of the cutting edge and be competitive. great culture and lots of fun activities and social engagements. The new CEO is great and every senior leader I've interacted with is approachable and smart. Best HR team I have ever worked with!

    Cons

    every company has them - there are some toxic people that have carved out their value and will likely never be challenged. Luckily most of them are not in leadership.
    Occasionally I do see decisions from the executive team that feel like short term thinking, for example emergency cost cutting during a rough quarter, but that seems to be getting better.

    Pros

    Great consultants to work with and learn from. Great account managers who care about business and their people.

    Cons

    Repeatedly hiring weak branch managers in Calgary and having high turnover is stealing the heart of the company. Inability to execute or lead is a problem from people in these roles. Summer 2018 is going to have tons of layoffs again.

    Advice to Management

    Re-think the approach to having Practices and leaders that can't deliver. Bring in less people with experiences outside of the company.

    Pros

    Good experience for beginners looking to get in to the industry. Your co-workers are welcoming and help you get acquainted with the environment.

    Cons

    No career progression. Takes a minimum of two years to get off of the service desk, and that’s if they even let you. Lower pay then average for the industry.

    Advice to Management

    Pay attention to your employees and increase base pay for analysts.

    I have been working at Long View Systems full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Integrity is the number one core pillar; and while we might not be perfect, I have seen time and time again how we check in with integrity in our decision making process; for me that is what counts. We truly have a high caliber of professionals that also know how to have fun together! Some other added pros to mention; internal leadership development program, tons of training options in all forms, flexible work life, Career Life Planning, great at sharing company information and mostly, enduring employee support during tough times. It has also been very inspiring to women joining the executive team and senior leadership roles!

    Cons

    It's fast paced (which is not a bad thing...), and therefore take time to step back and determine what can wait, and where to focus. Sometimes we try and do it all now.

    Advice to Management

    Continue to foster a culture of caring and integrity, let nothing stand in the way. Spend time with your people. Don't forget to sharpen the saw, embrace learning and remember some of the best learning comes from those you lead, listen close.
