I have been working at Lockheed Martin for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible hours, and good work-life balance. Some really good leaders and mentors. During my internship I got a wide range of experience ranging from design, to pure coding to system level testing. For these reasons it is a great place to be an intern.

    Cons

Lacks company events such as Christmas/New Years parties but there are company lunches now and then that are good for socializing with your peers.

I worked at Lockheed Martin for less than a year

    Pros

I was an intern at the Montreal division. I deeply regret my time spent there. - Okay salary, but definitely not competitive - Supportive team, people really knew how to have each other's backs - Competent management at the top. - Strong structures and rules - Flexible 9/80 schedule! Probably the best thing about working there. Allows for good work/life balance

    Cons

    - EXTREMELY burreaucratic. You'll need permission to do even the simplest things. They put a high emphasis on "building processes" and "improving everything"... but there are so many rules already in place that it's pretty much impossible to do. If you're an innovator at heart... AVOID. - Wishy washy management: in my 8 months here, we've changed managers three times and have had very little communications with all of them - Little to no benefits: some of my PERMANENT employees coworkers had the most pitiful health/dental/other insurance plans and PTO/vacation ever... It was sad considering I know smaller companies with lower budgets who offer way more - Overall bad company culture - The emphasis is on following rules rather than trusting people use their professional judgements. You feel like a cog in a machine, not an actual human. The "trainings" on "ethics" and "company culture" were such a joke I had to hide my laughs most of the time. Honestly, I could go on.

    I worked at Lockheed Martin

    Pros

Highly reputable large scale company rigorously following business best practices and strongly promoting ethics and diversity. Collaborating with highly skills and knowledgeable coworkers. Good compensation and benefits as well as good family and work life balance. Strong organization with capability and possibility of delivering high quality.

    Cons

Contractual based position without security. Low salary compared to similar job opportunities. Delocalized and isolated team minimizing the possibility of sharing with corporate, limiting social interactions.

I worked at Lockheed Martin full-time

    Pros

Great work life balance. Culture seems like it depends on which part of the company and project that you are a part of. Overall, I liked how important ethics are. I also worked with a really great set of people during my career there.

    Cons

Really, too many meetings, and at least when I was there, a lot of programs in maintenance. Not enough cutting edge technology.
