      Pros

Beautiful office space, Bagel Fridays, Free Tickets to Events, Travel Depending on your position,

      Cons

Very poorly run by upper management who have not been transparent about the financial issues of the company. Half the people in the office don't know each other because there a several small companies in one space. Wastefully spending money the company does not have. Company declared bankruptcy on the 2/1 after the CEO repeatedly said SFX would never go bankrupt. Please don't waste your time trying to work here. The turnover is high for a reason.

      Pros

Free tickets to shows and festivals, nice office

      Cons

sfx has tried to squeeze every ounce of short term value out of the companies it purchased. Much of this has been at the cost of user experience and general quality of their products. Beatport? what even is that now? It looks like it's just an ad board for T-mobile. Tomorrowland? The relationship between them and sfx is tense. I'm sure they resent joining this sinking ship.

It didn't have to be this way... but it is.

      Pros

      - Awesome event brands - From Tomorrowland (which SFX doesn't really technically own) and Mysteryland to LIV and Story in Miami, SFX owns some of the best event brands in the world... it's just too bad they have virtually zero presence in the US. - Great office and Location - I don't know how they afford it but the 902 Broadway headquarters ("The Bob Building" LOL) are really nice - Handful of good people - Some of the people at SFX have been in the dance music biz forever and understand the space and the audience... Most of the people, however, do not.

      Cons

      - Zero plan whatsoever - It feels like they are just making things up as they go. Nothing is well thought out and everything is about pumping up the stock artificially through nonsense press releases that have no material financial impact on the company - Management is nonexistent/clueless - Agree with everything already said here. The fact that upper management has either left, been forced out, or demoted recently shows just how little idea they know what there doing. Of course most of these people should never have been in leadership positions from the start but thats Bob Sillerman for you - Everything is failing or has failed - Beatport is a flop and Bob is begging potential acquirers to take it. Half of the festivals cannot sell enough tickets and are losing millions. The sales team cant sell anything and there hasnt been a new partner announced since tmobile. It's honestly just sad.

SFX is like a machine flying apart at high velocity

      Pros

      - If you're into EDM, well, you have a direct line into that "space". - Depending on what team you're on, you can probably get some tickets to EDM festivals. - You will get a front row seat to see how the sausage gets made. - If you like schmoozing at corporate bro-fests in Miami this job is for you. - You can get paid okay if you know how to play the compensation game - 401k (no match) and decent health care

      Cons

SFX is essentially a holding company, hastily cobbled together out of lots of smaller companies. This is not inherently bad, except that no one in Senior Management seems to know anything about managing companies or effectively executing on anything at all really. If you do some digging you will quickly find that most of the acquired companies have shed employees at a spectacular rate - through either layoffs or folks leaving out of disgust (mostly the latter.) When SFX acquires a company, they pretty much kill it on the spot. This is a shame, because many of those companies had been around a while with had solid track records and good company cultures. They are quickly hollowed out and subjected to ridiculous levels of indecision and incompetence at the highest levels which pretty much causes anyone left with half a brain to jump. Sometimes the acquisition reveals a rot already present in some of the acquired companies, which indicates poor due diligence on SFX's part. The company which bore the brunt of this effect the most was Beatport - a company with a long history in EDM. It was bought for its brand and connection to the DJs, nothing more. As other commenters have noted its development team was immediately sacked by some straw men sent to Denver from NYC who knew nothing about the business, nor much about development really. Imagine a scene from Office Space and you'll get the picture. Other commenters are also correct in that most teams are too busy engaged in corporate knife fights and backbiting to be effective or execute, but to be fair they don't have much of a strategic plan to execute in the first place. Overall the company is too wracked with indecision, incompetence and nepotism to get anything done. It will stagger on for a while extracting money from the festivals and playing shell games with the finances until Sillerman figures out a way to cash out. Many a small company, culture and "scene" will be destroyed in its wake. Culture wise there is no clear path for advancement within the organization. HR doesn't really exist. Each "business unit" is run as a fiefdom with its own management methodologies. People spend a lot of time coming up with ever more fantastic titles and "playing business". Advancement is usually based on who you're buddies with (or related to) and not on any actual measure of competence or ability.

Enormous talent and opportunities are being squandered here

      Pros

      - You can carve your own path here, but won’t find much support if it doesn’t align with some misguided goal. - Competitive pay - Travel if you are on an independent brand or on a campaign - Good location near other places to interview at

      Cons

Hearing that HR was writing reviews to improve the company rating inspired this. Sure enough recent reviews are 5 stars and SFX is anything but a top notch company. This is not the worst job I’ve every had, but it is hands down, the worst run place I’ve ever worked at. Take note of the many one-star reviews. Even if you love EDM and want to work in entertainment, this is not the place to be. This isn’t because of “growing pains” due to all the recent company acquisitions. This company has no strong leadership, bleeding time and resources like a sucking chest wound. There is talent here – lots of it, but it only shines independent of propped up executives who show no sense of how to put the pieces together. It isn’t a hard puzzle to solve. Most of the acquired companies were doing fine on their own. No one in charge here can grasp the unprecedented opportunity; to sell and market to the most desirable consumer group of the decade. So many endeavors lack vision, direction, and execution that you will be quite frustrated here. It’s baffling how little ownership and accountability exists in this place, but if that is something you’d like to see first hand – go for it.

      Pros

There were some growing pains as SFX expanded and bought several companies, but it's nice to see things are getting settled and management is providing some much needed structure recently. We work in a very interesting space and I think everyone gets a chance to contribute to it.b People are really nice, talented, and will help you out with anything! We have been working pretty hard, but we also have great benefits and company events.

      Cons

There have been a lot of changes, and it will take some time to create an "office culture"

      Pros

Sharp focus on Electronic Music and Events Top event promoters in the world know what they are doing. Electronic Music is blowing up and the market for it is hot, SFX is well positioned to play in the space. Well funded and able to address opportunities globally.

      Cons

Its an entirely "fend for yourself" and winner takes all climate. No job security. Internal politics get in the way of doing the right thing. Rapid acquisition strategy results in a lot of disparate cultures trying to "get along" (or not trying as the case may be).

      Pros

the company operates in a very interesting space - electronic music. Comp is ok, but then the positive things stop.

      Cons

SFX bought over 20 companies and is really struggling integrating those companies. At the moment communication is non existent and there is chaos everywhere.
