    I worked at Linedata

    Pros

People on the ground are smart, willing to help, and try to do their best with the constraints they have. Benefits are pretty good. 401K matching. Good work/life balance.

    Cons

Top management in Paris doesn't understand US business culture, doesn't care about employees, and seems downright anti-customer. Morale has been killed as trusted local leadership and key contributors have all recently left or been shown the door. No communication, no vision. All at below-market pay.

    Linedata Response

Co-Head of Asset Management, Group Innovation, Marketing and Communication Director

Firstly, I would like to apologize for our late reply. We always appreciate the valuable feedback from any and all employees. Linedata is 20 this year and has a strong track record of 20 successful acquisitions and integrations, with a major concern each time: we understand and respect the teams and the cultures who join. As we grow, we rely on the same values that guide us ; to be : caring, smart, passionate and sustainable. Caring about our people and our clients is definitely part of our company DNA. With regards to comments about communication, the corporate team endeavors to regularly travel to the different offices to explain the main pillars of Linedata’s development. Of course, innovation is a major element that has prompted me to join Linedata a few months ago to build an innovation department in charge of promoting both technical innovation and modern work methods throughout the organization. We work hard to make sure that everyone can contribute and take part in building Linedata’s future and I am sorry to read that you did not experience this with us. Sophie Février

I worked at Linedata full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Smart, friendly (for the most part) co-workers. Monthly happy-hour, free snacks, outings. Great location. New office space. Liberal work from home policy/great work-life balance (for the most part). Decent amount of time off. Base compensation is pretty middle of the road. Great training opportunities for those that take advantage.

    Cons

There is a distinct lack of unity between the business side and development side of the company. A series of managerial missteps delayed releasable updates for too long. Revolving door of sales directors/EVPs/SVPs/etc puts serious doubt into employees minds about any type of strategy the company has. Employee attrition in Boston continues to rise year over year, headcount in Tunisian office rises. No clear career path for anybody. Makes for a lot of sniping and a toxic environment at times. Morale is in the toilet. The work-life balance is a gift and a curse as comfortable employees never look to put in the extra effort which leads to projects slipping. Too much of "that's how we do it" instead of "how do we do it better."
