I have been working at Linedata full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Work life balance Cross lateral teamwork Benefits Remote flexibility Start up culture Ability to travel Exposure to various projects and products Approachable and accessible c level execs

    Cons

Sometimes not clear direction on products and career

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you’re doing and further promote cross team functionality. This is the beauty of Linedata which promotes collaboration for problem solving and having everyone on the same page objectively. It is a huge benefit there aren’t 6 degrees of separation from c level execs. SVP’s are usually your managers manager so they have a good pulse on projects and can easily advocate for resources as needed. People that strive hear are people who are curious and expose themselves to various problems, products and teams. Identify those who have a broad knowledge scope and retain those individuals as best you can so there is increased knowledge share.

    Pros

    Cons

No matter how good or hard you work, the pay and bonus are low and increase only allows you to buy a meal per month Little growth Bad work/life balance No career path High turnover Bad culture Clients complaining every day Decision makers do not understand the business, day to day operations and employees frustrations

    Advice to Management

Stop being cocky and open your eyes Focus on employees, products and clients instead of yourselves or sell the company

    I worked at Linedata

    Pros

People on the ground are smart, willing to help, and try to do their best with the constraints they have. Benefits are pretty good. 401K matching. Good work/life balance.

    Cons

Top management in Paris doesn't understand US business culture, doesn't care about employees, and seems downright anti-customer. Morale has been killed as trusted local leadership and key contributors have all recently left or been shown the door. No communication, no vision. All at below-market pay.

    Advice to Management

Innovate and invest or become irrelevant. Treat your people better. Communicate - the vacuum is filled in with rumors, fear, and inefficiency.

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Linedata full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Smart, friendly (for the most part) co-workers. Monthly happy-hour, free snacks, outings. Great location. New office space. Liberal work from home policy/great work-life balance (for the most part). Decent amount of time off. Base compensation is pretty middle of the road. Great training opportunities for those that take advantage.

    Cons

There is a distinct lack of unity between the business side and development side of the company. A series of managerial missteps delayed releasable updates for too long. Revolving door of sales directors/EVPs/SVPs/etc puts serious doubt into employees minds about any type of strategy the company has. Employee attrition in Boston continues to rise year over year, headcount in Tunisian office rises. No clear career path for anybody. Makes for a lot of sniping and a toxic environment at times. Morale is in the toilet. The work-life balance is a gift and a curse as comfortable employees never look to put in the extra effort which leads to projects slipping. Too much of "that's how we do it" instead of "how do we do it better."

    Advice to Management

Figure out why people keep jumping ship. Set a plan to course correct, present it to your workforce and stick with it. Find a way to unify the business and development sides of the equation. Find a way to engage your employees and help them grow their careers instead of letting them sit in the same position.
