I have been working at LifeLabs full-time

    Pros

Good work life balance, flexible about work from home, progressive, forward thinking and willing to make investments

    Cons

Not too many cons... the org could benefit with more junior / entry level employees and fewer managers

I have been working at LifeLabs part-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

They are very transparent about wages and benefits. When you are eligible for increases and vacation time. With seniority the job gets much easier- with set hours and days.

    Cons

It's a rough job to start. Lots of on call shifts, travelling to different labs. Low work-life balance to start.

    I worked at LifeLabs full-time

    Pros

Horrible place to work at, feels like working in a factory line, no respect for employees they only care about more production and TAT and that leads to mistakes, I don't trust their test results since I have seen how much they rush just to send result to doctors and be faster than their competition Dynacare.

    Cons

Bad work life balance, you're not paied if you don't come on snow storm day or want to leave early, but the managers all leave early their because their lives are more important than yours

I worked at LifeLabs full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - good work/life balance - focus on quality delivery

    Cons

talents do not last here because of - lack of leadership directions - continuous creation of new teams for the favored ones to climb the ladder - many new initiatives but no standard implementation process and no collaborative support to implementation - revolving door with top talents leaving and newbies joining having no idea what's happening

I have been working at LifeLabs full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Friendly co-workers, good updated facilities, safety first, good communication, better work-life balance than most organizations...

    Cons

Getting crowded, seniority based system present a disincentive to new employees - when comes to vacation planning, a little thin on benefits

    I worked at LifeLabs

    Pros

There are a few gems in business partners within the company

    Cons

Unprofessional behaviour is widely prevalent, little respect for subordinates, condescending tone, little coaching, almost no mentorship or support, no work life balance, and little acknowledgment for good work, and lot of blaming when things go wrong

I worked at LifeLabs full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I met some really good people here. Thats the only pro as there is a 20 word minimum in the "pro" section.

    Cons

    - pay for what they expect from you, they always add onto your growing job description - stress filled environment - no work life balance - management does not care about employees or what they have to say - always cuts in budgets including the Christmas party (which there is none) - no communication between upper management and lower staff - corporate feel more than health care environment - no way to move up in the company, or very hard to - no continuing education assistance to add to above point - messy scheduling and vacation routine - no sympathy AT ALL from personal matters from management - not enough employees + over worked constantly - no team building events (budget cuts)

I have been working at LifeLabs for more than 3 years

    Pros

Nothing whatsoever. You meet many new people cause they come and go often

    Cons

No work life balance. Dysfunctional business (making $ due to lack of Competition. admin staff, HR, IT people r quitting left right & center. No training budget or time off whatsoever. 3 people in my team quit in 2 months of starting. If you want advancement in ur career. Learning opportunity & company that is mature, look somewhere else. CEO/CTO r disconnected with ground reality. Year after year u hear the same issue on employee satisfaction survey, but no action is taken to rectify them. Existing staff r afraid to lose their jobs so no knowledge transfer is given. Lack of communication in each and every department. Lastly company doesn't want workers career to grow, just own bottom line. Garbage benefits.
