I worked at Liberty National full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great income, I was making about $900-$1000 a week. And best of all, is the renewals after your first year, you continue to get paid on the policies sold from last year upon renewal.
If you are Good you will make GOOD MONEY, but if you are Great you will make GREAT MONEY, and if you are Awesome, you will make AWESOME MONEY.

    Cons

The only downside is to become an Agency Owner you have to relocate to a different State. The only reason I left is that I was ready to open my own Agency without relocation.

    Advice to Management

    Continue the good work.

I have been working at Liberty National full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Unfortunately there is no perfect company out there, by very thankful for the opportunity given. After being with the company for 2yrs I’m currently a new Agency Owner.

    Cons

Cons, tough to say especially reading few previous responses. It’s truly sad to see how we so easy to make excuses for failure! But noting for success. Is it easy...No, is it hard...No! It’s all about how you apply yourself in an Entrepreneur role because there is no one to blame but You.
A lot of work have to go into the front end to protect your back end, new buildings don’t go up over night! Because if it did it will it won’t last but less than a year.🤦🏾‍♂️😂

    Advice to Management

Thank you for identifying area of opportunity and enhancements.

I have been working at Liberty National full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Solid sales training.
Can make a great living if you are willing to put in the work.
Simple tools needed to do the job - car, smartphone, laptop, pens. You don't need to invest a lot of money upfront beyond paying for gas to go on your sales calls.
    Great management.
Great work/life balance. - If you need time off, just let your manager know. You ultimately control your own calendar and your own book of business. How you schedule your appointments and structure your days is really up to you.

    Cons

Some minor frustrations with systems, but nothing to raise a fuss about.
Because it is a 1099 position, there are no benefits or paid time off. Not necessarily a con, but important for folks to know.

    Advice to Management

    None at this time.

I worked at Liberty National full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Nice culture, good leadership, best sales training, simple products, unlimited income, great lead generation system, no need to have E&O insurance, they will pay 70% for your licensing training, don’t have to have license at hire, no sale experience required

    Cons

    No employee benefits
    No base salary
Have to spend more than you earn first 2-3 months
    High turnover
Territorial limit to “where you are willing to drive”
    Captive agent contract

As an inexperienced agent you sell insurance to people you barely know, then these clients can easily drop their policies with no obligation to you and you get hit with 100% chargeback and considering that you have to sell more and more new policies you don’t have time and money to revisit them regularly and build strong relationships and retain your book of business.

The structure of payment has adverse effect on inexperienced agents: you get paid almost 100% of annual premium the same week that you make a sale, but the client starts to pay only three months after you sell and if they drop their policy not only you get charged 100% of what you got paid, it also lowers your commission rate until you make up for the lost business. So, you have to make sure that your clients do not quit on you for 15 months after you made a sale. So, the lower your persistency level the lower is you % of commission.

I personally had high persistency level, even with that after I left the company about a year later I found that I owe the company over $1.2k in unearned commissions and if I didn’t pay it back this debt goes to collections.

They don’t tell you about it at your interview.

    Advice to Management

Let new hires know that retention of clients is the most important part of their job, otherwise they will loose half of what they hard earned.

    Pros

-Unlimited salary potential. Your salary matches your effort. The harder you work the more money you make. Paid weekly, amazing weekly bonus structure with overrides. Fully vested after just 10 years.

-Flexible schedule. I have small children that get sick and I need to be able to pick them up when needed. No more asking off work. You are your own boss.

-Advancement opportunities. Be promoted within 90 days. Lead a team and develop leadership.

    Cons
