    I worked at Leon's Furniture full-time

    Pros

If you like retail sales this can be a great job for you. Decent commission's, managers are available to help and encourage. Continuous learning and product knowledge.

    Cons

When the market is down traffic is low, closing sales can be tough. To many sales staff. Can be a cut throat, and brutal environment at times.

    Advice to Management

When customer traffic is slow and sales are down stop hiring sales staff, it can be very discouraging sitting around in the sales room totalling up to hours a day not interacting with customers waiting for turns. Implement more ways to boost moral and create more of an inclusive team environment between departments and staff. There should be consequences to staff that consistently brake the rules and have a cut... throat mentality towards fellow employees. Don't allow sales reps to come in on their days off unless they are there to met with a previous client that they made an appointment with, after dealing with said client rep should be required to leave as to not disrupt the sales team scheduled for that day.

I worked at Leon's Furniture full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Full dental coverage. Some people get lucky and can get promotions quickly, based on company need (fear of being understaffed/ needing them to open/ close .ect)

    Cons

They will work you for as much as they can for as little as they can. They do not make it easy to move up or change titles. You will do way more than your job without an increase of pay or title.

    Advice to Management

Hire dependable staff and enough staff. Reward those who work hard. Saying you appreciate someone does not help them feed their family. They notice when you promote people / give them a raise when they threaten to quit vs working hard and earning it.
