Good people, positive environment, and the new HQ is a great campus with child care, work out facility, health clinic, and flexible for space.

    Cons

Company has been struggling for the past couple years. So opportunities for growth are sometimes limited. Waiting to see if the new CEO can turn it around and make the company profitable again.

    I worked at Land O'Lakes full-time

    Pros

Work life balance is nice. Pay is above average for what your responsibilities are (at least in my department) Lots of time away from work while on the clock such as volunteering, parties etc.

    Cons

Extremely difficult to move-up within the company. Had five interviews, but none of them pulled through for me.
I was told I could get some on-the-job training in the transportation department I was looking to join after interviewing with the hiring managers(for one of the jobs I didn't get).
I arranged time to meet with them, but when it was time, my manager in my department told me that the company doesn't allow that unless you take hours from your PTO.
    Hard to move up here.

    Advice to Management

Communicate better. Identify who actually costs people money before laying off people. Dairy foods R&D employees always are having parties and making food for lunch on the company dime(and time), but none of them were involved in the lay-off.

I worked at Land O'Lakes full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pay and that's where the pros end.

    Cons

Very unethical company. Just Google land o lakes lawsuit and you'll see they killed thousands of cows to drive up dairy prices. Ethical? I think not.
This is one of many lawsuits that this company has faced and lost. They expect the supervisors to take on their unethical ways and if you wont then they dont want you their. Bottom line, if your a heartless, moral free back stabber, this is the company for you.

    Advice to Management

Remember the hourly employees are the ones that really make the company money, however, this is where they are making all their cuts. The company is so top heavy that they could easily cut at corporate and save four or five times the amount they are with their cuts to hourly employees.
