Marketing / sales have all the budget while we have tiny per diem
Your career opportunity is mostly driven by your relationship with your line manager

    I worked at Labatt full-time

    Pros

    - Great place to be when you're young (lots of social events, drinks & young people)
    - Made some great friends there
    - Because its so understaffed people get bigger titles much sooner than they would anywhere else
    - Easy to move across departments
    - On paper a great company to say you work for & they tout a lot of great recruitement marketing as well.

    Cons

    - Lots of "Kool Aid" drinking
    - Hard to justify several of the senior leadership moves (Skeezy sales guys or novices who would never become a director or VP anywhere else)
    - Unhealthy lifestyle constantly on display
    - No work-life balance, in fact, "work-life" is considered a bad word here
    - "Bro" culture on display (look to the Marketing team for some outrageous examples)
    - Canada team isn't empowered as much as other regions
    - Some departments really get the rough end of the ZBB & target stretch (supply, IT & BSC)
    - Don't expect a lot of bonus payout here. The philosophy of feast & famine tends to work towards famine most of the time

    Advice to Management

None, it will fall on deaf ears. 3G has a trusted model. Like most billionaire bankers they are happy to deplete human capital for money. Unfortunately, the model works.

    I worked at Labatt full-time

    Pros

Great place to learn and develop. Lots of opportunities to relocate and/or learn new skills, transfer departments. Lots of resources available to help solve problems.

    Cons

The compensation structure is a joke. Nothing about the compensation is indicative of being a "great" company. They use a mythical "bonus" to try to keep you motivated but it never happens.

    Advice to Management

Pay people what you say they are worth, not 80% of what you say they are worth. Listen when employees tell you that compensation is important.

I worked at Labatt full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Talented people focused on outdoing themselves. Exceptional programs for developing new graduates and fostering international opportunities as part of career development.

    Cons

Sometimes you get a chance to taste new products long before it comes to market -- and you can't tell anyone how fantastic it tastes!

    Advice to Management

Rent more space to allow for more meeting rooms. And the open concept is a little too open. Too little space to spread out.
