I worked at Labatt full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Talented people focused on outdoing themselves. Exceptional programs for developing new graduates and fostering international opportunities as part of career development.

    Cons

Sometimes you get a chance to taste new products long before it comes to market -- and you can't tell anyone how fantastic it tastes!

    Advice to Management

Rent more space to allow for more meeting rooms. And the open concept is a little too open. Too little space to spread out.

    Pension plan at 6

    Cons

Very negative work place culture (very few people appear to be happy... most will flat out tell you they are not)
    Poor work life balance
    Very high turn over
Difficult place to maintain a moral compass

    I worked at Labatt full-time

    Pros

I was a merchandiser and there was not a single nice thing about this job and compagny

    Cons

Salary is laughable, about 20% less than the competition
Expect to do at least 10h per day (overtime never paid obviously)
They require you to have a university degree yet you spend all your time putting beer and shelves and putting price card
    Work life balance is awful

    Advice to Management

We were 11 merchandiser hired in may 2016, not even a year later everyone of them quited ..

I have been working at Labatt full-time

    Pros

To be completely honest the only thing I can think of is some of the co workers are great people to work with and you have a lot in common with your coworkers and that is the misery of working in this environment

    Cons

This place cares more about acronyms, VPO ,KPI and every other piece of paperwork imaginable from the workers on the line than the actual production of beer.
They treat the workers like garbage.....from discrimination, harrasement there is no respect in the London, ontario facility for its workforce. On a daily basis the company skates a fine line of breaking Labour laws with its workers.

    Advice to Management

No matter how many town hall or departmental meetings you have if what you say in a meeting and what you DO on the floor are 100 percent in contrast to each other the workers will never trust, respect or go the extra mile for you and that will ultimately be the downfall of this facility.

    I worked at Labatt full-time

    Pros

They give beer on Fridays after 3pm. Thats the only pro here.

    Cons

Their managers and directors do not backup their words into actions. New hires are treated like unfairly... actually everyone is unfairly treated there. They really believe this spartan way of employment strenghten the professional, but in fact this culture disguises harassment while other employees just watch it silently.

Woman in management is fairly seen, unfortunately it seems its just because they are women. Beautiful girls have more spot lights and finding these cute managers laughing out loud or chasing pokemons is daily routine.

Their program of Management trainee is horrible and jr management is often seen.

Just avoid joining this company or you will get professionally raped.

    Advice to Management

Just follow your culture to its very core and you can get anywhere but where you are. This will solve your absurd turnover.

I have been working at Labatt (More than 10 years)

    Pros

They haven't taken away the 26 cases of beer ( taxable benefit ). Yet!

    Cons

Do not value employees. Culture comes from the top down. Bad combination of Brazilian and American style management. The sooner they figure out the difference between "thinking they are smart" and "being smart" the better off everyone will be.

    Advice to Management

Learn that people do make a difference. Not just a cookie cutter format to follow.

I have been working at Labatt full-time

    Pros

Good money and some benefits, working with real people on the floor.

    Cons

Take pleasure in taking advantage of temporary work force. Firing people left and right for the smallest infraction, no respect for the employee, lies, double standard across the board. Manager care more about hats on backward than lines running at 30% effeciecies. I would not recommend to anyone.

    Advice to Management

discrimination, lies, unfair treatment, termination of employees for the smallest things. How do you guys sleep at night ? Learn to treat people with respect and see how much more production you can get. Management is by far the worst I ever experienced.

    Pros

    - Challenged to have game changing solutions - its about taking risks with big reward
    - If you deliver results there are opportunities for promotion or lateral movement within your function or in another function, not something other CPG companies provide.
    - great leadership opportunities / development and coaching

    Cons

    - everyone will challenge the aspect of work life balance, you need to manage it, its not the company's responsibility.

    Advice to Management

    keep it up
